I had to take my siblings to a tour. Since I had a nice experience with the take tour previously, I thought of booking with the take tour again. We had a different tour guide than before. For the price of $8, you could not say no. This does not include the fee for the tour guide which is $10 per person plus the admission to each of the attractions. Even there were cons, it is worth the price. Cons: pick-up time was late (should be 7:30am then was moved to 7:50am then was move to 8:10am), and we have to walk three blocks to ride our mini bus. Pick-up point at 47 Chrystie, but we had to walk 3 blocks (I forgot the name of the street). Previously, we were pick-up at the right pick-up point. There was another person who pick-up us which I was not informed. Just set your mind that it will never be on time, and that you have to walk. With this, you will make it as one of your experiences joining a tour. It was a rainy day, we did not had a chance to get down for the “Bull” picture taking. On the other hand, we had time for the one World Trade Center, the Oculus, and the ground zero. We have finished early as it was expected. We finished at 2pm. I thought the time will be extended for the Madam Tussaud, but it was not. The Pros: great communication with the tour guide. Kevin texted me a day before our tour. Also, texted me that he will be late. He is a great tour guide. He explained in detail for each of the attractions. To join the tour, you can just choose two attractions, and pay the $10 per person. Just like what we did, you will be finished by 2pm. We went from Chinatown, go around Wall Street, pass-by Trinity church( we did not go down coz it was raining). The difference with my previous experience, there was a tour guide walking with us (stopped at trinity church). This time, there was no tour guide going down with us to tour around the Wall Street. I wondered, maybe because of the price??? If you want with a one on one tour guide, maybe asked a representative before booking. I were not particular with this because Wall Street is not my priority. Kevin is the tour guide and a driver. The other attractions you don’t really need a tour guide to be with you. Over-all, the trip run smoothly.
Had a wonderful tour experience. Started at the stated time. The guide,Kevin, gave a detailed commentary on the various places. The Empire State and Metropolitan Museum was dropped but that gave enough time to see the others. The operator takes you to the various sites and provides the tickets. You are on your own once there which is fine. Not being herded was great. Definitely an economical way to see New York.
If you are on a short stay and want to see and learn more about the city then you will on your own. This is the tour to take. 5 stars, 2 thumbs up and more. I'm sure all the tour guide are good but Trey (our guide I recommend) was the man. Funny, friendly, knowledgeable and knows the killer good spots.
If you visit NY I highly recommend! I will do this tour again next time and make sure anyone I know who visits, does too. Thank you Trey.
