    Passengers will be picked up in Washington, DC at 8:00am. From there, we will depart for Gettysburg. Spend a day devoted to a tour of the town and its historic battlefield.

    The day starts off in the Shriver House Museum. Visit Gettysburg's new Visitor Center. View the 22-minute introductory film, narrated by Morgan Freeman, and visit the cyclorama.

    The trip concludes with a comprehensive, two-hour tour of the Gettysburg battlefield. Led by award-winning guides, the tour covers every breathtaking moment of the historic battle!

    Time for lunch is provided, but you are on your own for lunch.

    At the end of the day, we will return to the departure point for dropoff. See "Departure and Return Details" for more information.

    • Gettysburg, PA

      This small town in Pennsylvania was the site of one of the American Civil War's most important battles and one of the most remembered speeches ever given by a president. It was the furthest north the Southern armies ever reached.

      Shriver House Museum

      A restored house from the Civil War that provides for a living history experience. The Shrivers were a family that lived close to the battlefield and this home is dedicated to showing how they lived, and how civilians were affected by the destruction and chaos surrounding them. Their home is filled with timely effects, including preserved rooms and newspapers.

      Gettysburg Battlefield

      The area of the July 1–3, 1863, military engagements of the Battle of Gettysburg within and around the borough of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
