Day 1: Yellowknife

After arrival in Yellowknife airport, please take bus to hotel for checkin. Someone will give you a brief explanation for warm clothing and snow boots rental. Around 10:00pm, we will drive to watch the aurora. You can enjoy yourself in the warm cabin which offers coffee, tea, hot soup, and wait for the aurora.

Day 2: Yellowknife

We will enjoy a free day in Yellowknife. Guests can choose to join in optional activities such as Yellowknife city tour, snowmibling, dog sledding, Northwest Base Outdoor Adventure. Around 10:00pm we will wait and catch aurora.

Day 4: Yellowknife

We will take bus to Yellowknife airport for flight home.
  • Airport Pickup: Yellowknife tour will be picked up at Yellowknife airport, pickup service is included. The driver will pick guests up based on their flight arrival time. Please provide your flight information for your booking.
  • Airport Drop off: Yellowknife tour airport drop off service is also included. There is no time limit for the drop off service. The drop off service based on guest's departure time.

Additional Note

    • Optional Activities:
    • Dogsled: minimal 2 persons, including roundtrip transfers. Each sled can hold 2-5 persons.
    • Snowmobiling: minimal 2 persons, with hot drinks (coffee and tea)
    • Icefishing and Lunch: minimal 6 persons, watch locals catching fish and enjoy fish lunch.
    • All of above activities need to be booked in advance.
    • If cancel due to personal reasons, activities fares will not be refunded. If cancel due to severe weather, under-represented, uncontrol reasons, fully refund.
  • Baggage Restrictions: one check in and one carry on luggage, with applicable size restrictions, are allowed for each person. Extra per baggage will be charged C$25+5%
  • Other Notes: Airport pickup day will not be guaranteed for the VIP Seat (i.e., first 3 rows or less than 14 people small group)
  • Hotel rooms: The standard Twin room in North American hotels is equipped with one double bed, two double beds or one double bed or one sofa bed. Triple/Quadruple room does not include a third/fourth bed the room types are based on the double occupancy. No extra bed for 3rd & 4th person.
    Check-in time: Hotel check in time is 4:00 PM. Guests arriving in the morning are not guaranteed to check in.
  • Other Hotel Notes: According to the regulations of different hotels, you may be asked to provide credit card as a deposit for incidental expenses during the stay, such as telephone calls and ects. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the rooms. Violation of the rules will result in a fine of passenger's own cost
  • If some attractions closed due to weather, we will replace them with other attractions.
  • Complimentary winter clothing rental (jacket, pants, mitts, boots) at Yellowknife:
    Available from December to April. Sizes subject to availability; no refunds for unused service

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Changes to Reservations Policy:
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    Cancellation and Refund Policy:
    TakeTours makes every effort to serve our customers better. We also advise all customers to purchase traveler's insurance in case of interruption, accidents, illness, or anything else that may come up. If a reservation has to be cancelled, customers will be charged a fee depending on how far from the departure date the cancellation takes place.
    32 or more days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount + 5%GTS
    15-31 days prior to departure - 60% of total purchase amount + 5%GTS
    Within 14 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount
    Day of departure or no-show - 100% of total purchase amount
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation
    We reserve the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure of the tour, TakeTours only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
  • Complementary Items (If applicable)
    If the tour package includes complimentary items, there is no cash value or refund for unused services.
  • We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.

  • I was lucky to witness the magical northern lights on 3rd day. Tour guide was very passionate towards tourists and made sure they get best view (dark sky) and pics of their life, with the lights. The provided gears/cloths were excellent.
