Guests will be picked up from the specified departure location in Buenos Aires. We will travel down Avenida 9 de Julio and through Recoleta, hearing the story of Eva Peron's (Evita) life. After this introduction, we will go to the cemetery in Recoleta to take a walking tour that passes the mausoleums of some of Argentina's greatest historical figures, like Marcelo T. de Avelar and Raul Alfonsin. We will also see the museum of Evita and her family. Then, we will admire the Floralis Generica, one of the most iconic sculptures in the city, while the guide tells us about General San Martin, one of the liberators of South America, and Carlos Thays, a famous French-Argentine garden architect. Then, we will continue to 3 de Febrero Park in Palermo where we will see the Galileo Galilei Planetarium before the hippodrome and the polo field. After that, we will take a 20 minute walk around Chinatown to get a feel for the city's diversity. On our way to Plaza Italia, we will learn about Jorge Luis Borges, one of the country's most prolific writers. Finally, we will visit the Evita Museum to gain a deeper understanding of the life and work of one of Argentina's most important women.
