Day 1: Hilo

Today we will gather in Hilo. Guests can meet the tour guide at the Hilo airport for transfer to the hotel. Arrive before 3 p.m. guests can join Big Island Mauna. Kea Summit Sunset & Stargazing tour.

Day 2: Hilo - Rainbow Falls - Volcanoes National Park (210 miles)

Today we will visit Rainbow Falls, Richardson Beach Park, a Macadamia Nut Farm, Akatsuka Orchid Garden and Volcanoes National Park.

    Volcanoes National Park showcases Hawaii's interesting geological history. Near the town of Hilo, Mt. Kilauea, and the Thurston Lava Tube, the park boasts an incredible, dynamic landscape that is often reshaped by local volcanic activity.

    Akatsuka Orchid Gardens

    The Akatsuka Orchid Gardens on the Big Island of Hawaii are a greenhouse, nursery, and botanical garden that is open to the public for free. There are more than 500 blooming orchids on display for visitors to the complex.

    Macadamia Nut Farm

    The macadamia nut, although native to Australia, thrives on Hawaii. Many farms and factories offer tours of their facilities that take visitors throw the cultivation process and offer tasty Hawaiian treats.

    Richardson Beach Park

    Richardson Beach Park is a park located just east of Hilo on Hawaii Island. It is significant for being the only Hilo beach with special volcanic black sand. It was named for Elsa and George Richardson, who lived there.

    Wailuku River State Park

    The Wailuku River is the longest river both on the Island of Hawaii and in the state of Hawaii. The park is a popular spot for tourists who wish to swim, tube, or just see the sights.

Day 3: Volcano Winery - Punalu'u Beach Papakolea Beach - South Point - Kau Coffee Farm - Kona (59 miles)

Leave in the morning and enjoy the wine tasting in the 4000-foot tall paradise on the Big Island. Then come to Hawaii's largest black sands beach Punalu'u Beach, which is the largest green sea turtle spawning grounds, you can see the nest of green turtles resting here. Then we will take the shuttle bus to Papakolea Green Sand Beach in the south coast. Come to the southern tip of the United States, South Point, with a charming picturesque coastline. Then arrive KAU coffee farm. In the evening we will be taken to the Courtyard by Marriott Kona Beach, the west coast White Sand Beach. Let you experience the black, green and white beaches in a day.

Day 4: Hilo-Punaluu Black Sand Beach Kau Coffee- Pu'Uhonua National Park- Kona (59 miles)

In the morning we drive to Kona. First stop Punalu'u black sand beach, the biggest black sand beach in Hawai. Then arrive KAU Coffee Farm, the famous Hawaii desert coffee. Next stop will be the Punaulu bakery. We will drive to Puuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. At last, arrive Kona town.

    Punalu'u Beach

    Punalu'u Beach also called Black Sand Beach located between Pahala and Na'alehu on the Big Island of Hawaii. The beach has black sand made of basalt and created by lava flowing into the ocean which explodes as it reaches the ocean and cools.

    Puʻuhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park

    Located on the western shores of Hawaii's Big Island, this historical park, also known as the "Place of Refuge," once served as a safe haven for Hawaiians who broke the ancient laws.
  • Free Airport Pickup: Free pick up is available between 8:00am and 10:00pm. $15/person will be charged for transfer if you arrive outside this window.
  • Honolulu Arrivals: Customers flying into Honolulu instead of Hilo can book a connecting flight for $108. Please note that in order to participate in the optional activities, you must still arrive in Hilo by noon.

  • If you would like to join the optional activities, please pay the fee in cash to the tour guide. You cannot buy / use the tickets on your own or use City Passes. The tour guide will arrange the tickets for the group.
  • Mandatory Fee:Green Sand 4*4 Shuttle -$30/person
  • Inter-Island Air Tickets: All travelling between the Hawaiian Islands is at your own expense. Guests may reserve an inter-island ticket at the time of booking for $108/ticket each way. Please note ticket price is subject to change, we will notify you of any price change before confirm booking if you book them with us
  • Air fares between your city and the departure city
  • A mandatory service fees to the driver and tour guide (min. $7/passenger/day).
  • Personal room fees such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.
  • All other private expenses
  • Serve the full hot buffet breakfast at $10.95/p for every passenages (6:30a.m. - 9:30a.m.).

Additional Note

  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese). Depending on the number of passengers booked for a particular departure, tours and/or languages may be combined to operate the tours.
  • Hotel rooms: Each hotel room can accommodate no more than 4 guests (adults or children).

Confirmation

  • All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book airline tickets until you have received the confirmation.

Redemption

  • You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

    The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person
    (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    15-30 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Within 7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    Any flight ticket on this trip is non-refundable.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
