Tour to Niagara was amazing. Guide was very cool. He explained everything and managed the tor well. I would give suggestion to allow a little more time at Cave of Winds. Overall great experience.
Our trip from NY to Niagara Falls (2 days 1 night) was amazing. We met up with the tour guide, Leo, on 42nd Street then the bus went to NJ to pick up the rest of the passengers. Our bus was about half full for this trip. We purchased the first 4 rows (paid surcharges of $30 each) and then moved to the back of the bus because the front passengers (senior citizens) had to move their seats backward which bump on my knees. I’m not that tall but it felt very tight and claustrophobic. Had I known that was going to happen, I would have saved $120. Our first stop on the trip was to the Corning Museum of Glass. There is a cafeteria, so if you’re still hungry from the rest stop (Burger King), this is a great place to eat. The gift shop was pretty expensive. The second stop was at the Watkin Glen State Park. For this part of the trip, make sure you have walking shoes or sneakers. The trail was rocky and a bit wet. We got to Niagara Falls by about 7:45pm. We had 2 hours to walk around on our own. At 10pm, there were fireworks from the Canadian side. It lasted about 5 minutes, and then make our way back to the tour bus to go to hotel. My only complaint was the hotel (more than half an hour away) accommodation. We had a party of 4. Two adults and two children (teenager and a 9 year old) and we had one room, with one bed! Only 3 can fit the King-sized bed, with the fourth person at the end of the bed. We had to curl our legs in order to make room. That was completely unacceptable! The hotel was included in our ticket and we paid a total of $608!!! I called the front desk and was answered by a rule reception that said they didn’t have any more rooms for the night. I then had to call housekeeping for more pillows and towels, only to be told to go to the front desk for them. Once again, the two front receptionists were not friendly, especially the male. He looked and acted like he did not want to be there. This hotel (Millennium Buffalo) was at the lower end of quality. Everything in the room was old and used. The only nice area was the bathroom. Their website pictures are deceiving. Our room (234) did not look like any of the pictures. The next day, we all met up at 7:30am to head back to Niagara Falls. The first stop was walking on a short trail to the edge of the waterfall for pictures. We then got back on the bus to the Cave of the Winds. This was attraction was great! Be sure to wear sandals/slippers and shorts. Your lower limbs will definitely get wet if you go to the top part. It was a surreal experience. You must try it! Then we were bused to the Maid of the Mist boat ride. Once again, wear sandals/slippers. We got soaked even though we got ponchos. It was a cold day and being wet was not pleasant. Be sure to bring long shirts or jackets. The cost of this trip was expensive but the experience was memorable. Once again, we paid $608 for the tickets (4 people including the surcharges for the front bus seats). Each attraction is not included. After all the calculations for 4 people the total was about $1184 (there 1 attraction we didn’t do as it was optional) and we tipped our bus driver and tour guide. Be sure to bring a lot of cash. We used credit cards at gift shops for souvenirs and food. Our tour guide, Leo, was an amazing young man. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made sure each of us were safe and counted for. He explained the itinerary very well and guided us throughout the trip. We wished him all the best!
The tour was well organized, and the guide was cooperative and friendly. It saved my lot of self driving time and energy to refresh myself in the trip. Thanks
