The entire tour was well organised & right on time for every attraction. The tour guide was informative. Please mind that the guide will first explain everything in Mandarin and then switch to English. So you got to have patience over there. The hotel was very comfortable. Felt bad that we were there in the hotel for just the night sleep, as the schedule is very tight and have to leave early in the morning in day 2. The guided tour was really informative. Also please mind that the price you pay will be only for transport and hotel. You have to pay for the attractions, guided tour and food.
Will use taketours definitely for my other tours. They are good for price and friendly.
Tour guide(Mandy) was amazingly helpful in all possible ways like taking photos for us,finding us wherever we are and explaining about each attraction and very kind to us and at the same time making it on time. Mandy- you did a great job in helping us visiting Washington and philadelphia. Thanks Mandy. We will remember you. Excellent trip it was.
This tour was great the first day- I enjoyed the inside tour of Capitol Hill with enough time and was felt two hours was also enough time at the museum.
The hotel was comfortable/nice enough.
The second day was very rushed though... Our tour guide almost left my group behind and we weren't even late..
The tour should give more time at the memorials and in Philly- especially on a weekend when we couldn't do the engraving and printing tour.
Our bus was back in Chinatown at 4:30, where it was estimated to be back at 8pm according to the itinerary..
We went to D.C. for the first time joined this tour on 4th of July weekend, first we were a little worried about the long weekend parade in DC, but the tour guide Diana managed the tour well and the tour went smoothly. I loved the Capitol in-depth tour!
This tour was excellent. The tour guide is very knowledgable, introduce all the history very well, and always carry a smile with him from the begining until to the end.It was a great memories to my fmaily.
I recently booked this tour to Washington D.C in depth tour with four of my family members. It was a very good experience. The tour guide was very informative. For the price the accommodation was very reasonable . However, there is not much option for vegetarian which we understand . So a little tip is to bring your own food. Other than that everything is very good. I recommend it to all of my friends.
Our tour guide was professional and knowledgeable.first time in Washington DC and loved this trip. He introduced and showed us a lot about D.C and those attractions. I would recommend this tour to my family and friends.
It was my first time to Washington DC and I love this trip. The tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable. He introduced a lot about the city and the attractions to us. And the hotel was excellent. I would recommend this tour to my friends.
Overall good, great value for the money but no one warned us that the tour guide would be collecting an extra $133 per person IN CASH on the bus, for the attractions and meals. that gave us a shock, but we opted out of some of the attractions and paid only $39 per person.
Thanks for your review.
Please note that the value for the optional activities and service fee is mentioned on the tour page under exclusions. Thanks. ~Israel
i would definitely recommend this tour. Our tour guide was great, the Hotel room looked amazing. We were booked at the Holiday Inn, the room was very clean and new, I was actually shocked how nice it was. The places that we visited was great. I loved D.C and the caverns in Virginia. Philly and Baltimore were ok, nice scenery but nothing to special. Guide does not give you much time at each stop, but enough time to take pictures and walk around a bit. The coach bus that we traveled in was very comfortable and nice. I would definitely use this company again. Im looking to book my next trip for memorial weekend. I'm so happy I found this company.
The tour was good and comfortable. The guide Stan managed the tour very nicely and on time. The hotel was good. My only recommendation would be to provide more time at Inner Harbor, Baltimore. Half an hour is not sufficient to explore it.
In my opinion, a tour like this is too much for 2 days only. Everything must be done in maximum 1 hour and you don't have time to really enjoy one of the attractions. The accommodation was really comfortable and the driver and tour guide are really courteous and kind, but unfortunately there is no wi-fi in the bus. I enjoyed the travel but if I could give an advice to the organizer, it would be to lighten the tour schedule as to better enjoy the travel and attractions.
The trip was good but too rushed. Tour guide, Bill, was good with non- Chinese speaking passengers. Bus driver was calm and confident.
Holiday Inn accommodation was good but no breakfast. If a tour company brings the Motel 50 passengers per day, they should provide breakfast.
Facts- The tip is not $8, it's $10 for the trip per passenger. Picked up 10 passengers from New Jersey, so 3 hrs were cut off from the trip planner.
Did 4 bookings with this company...will recommend again...
Just carry cash ......and strong feet......
It was my first tour with this tour company and TakeTours. I was skeptical about it in the beginning, but I was wrong and the whole experience was absolutely amazing. Our tour guide and bus driver were really helpful and informative. The bus was well maintained and the journey was smooth throughout. Accommodation was provided in Holiday Inn and the rooms were above expectation. If you like to experiment with your food cuisines, get ready to try some delicious Chinese food items (you have flexibility to opt out but I would recommend everyone to try authentic Chinese food).
Overall good coverage of Washington DC. The trip covers a lot of things in DC, Baltimore, and Philadelphia. The tour was hurried up and we would only see Independence hall and Liberty Bell from outside; we had one hour to explore Air & Space Museum and we could cover only 10% of it. There was enough time to cover monuments. The accommodation was great. The tour could be better if it had fewer landmarks but had more time to explore them.
This trip crams a lot in and is an astounding value. The accommodation was excellent, as was the timing and the tour guide (Amber) was very pleasant and helpful. We departed from the office in Chinatown which as tourists, was an experience in itself!
Take plenty of cash as the trips, meals, service charge all need to be paid in cash. Also might be worth checking the age restriction for kids - my 12 year old counted as an adult in most cases. I would definitely recommend to a friend.
The Cherry Blossom tour was most amazing tour we had, the travel was so comfortable, the accommodation that was provided was the good one. Last but not the least, the tour guides were really really very good to all the tourists, without which the tour would not have been the best!!!
The trip was excellent and we enjoyed it a lot. Tour guides were well organized and more patient and kind. The accommodation booked by the agent also was a very good hotel.
Need improvement to give more time for important attractions, 30 minutes is not enough for some attractions.
The place where we stopped for food is all the same (Chinese restaurant) and costly too. It's good to stop in different restaurants so that we could taste and enjoy different foods.
Overall, the trip is good and worth what we paid.
I went alone and I did not get bored at all. I was able to visit so many sites I wouldn't be able to see in 2 days.
Amazing trip!!! People were amazing and the driver and guide as well.
You should bring cash with you because of the admission fees and lunch / dinner.
Hotel was GOOD! I look forward to another trip with TakeTours.
There were some changes in itinerary. Shenandoah Cavern was not included in our original trip itinerary and the tour guide called me in the last minute that she upgraded the tour for us. It was great that our trip included Shenandoah Cavern but I wish I could spent more time in Washington D.C.
First time taking such tour. It was certainly good experience. Our tour guide Mandy was very nice and helpful. The only things they can improve is their bus. Since there are no seat belts and no charging for your phone!! Also since we were vegetarian, we did not like the places they would stop for lunch or dinner, which was mainly sushi or other seafood places. Other than that it was really good tour.
Overall very nice trip. Tour guide Ken was very nice, helpful, and understanding. Hotel was really good. Tour planning was also good except one thing that first day we reached hotel very late at 10 pm. Bus driver was also very friendly. Overall a good experience and I suggest others to take this tour. I took this tour last year, but I couldn't make a comment because I had to go back to my country at an emergency. So I missed it. Recently I was again planing some tours with TakeTours/GotoBus and I really wanted to review on this my previous experience. These tours are superb. I really like them. They manage very well. I felt if we had some more time in science museum, that would have been great. Other than that, everything made me fully satisfied. I recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to take it.
The trip was a wonderful experience. I would suggest this trip for all people new to U.S.A. and who don't know driving well, and want a quick trip of Washington D.C. The trip covered most of the places well in the itinerary- the bus was excellent, and the hotel was very comfortable.
For this price we have no complains, but to really get to know all the places, there wasn't enough time. For a quick visit you see a lot, and the hotel was totally fine! The group consisted mostly of Chinese people who were really nice.
I went on this tour and almost everything was excellent. The guide, David, was very helpful and nice. The hotel where we stayed was first class. Only the bus I would expect to be better, although it was not bad.
A pleasant tour indeed. A mixture of history and relaxation. Our tour guide Ken was wonderful and so was our bus driver. MAKE SURE TO LISTEN TO KEN, especially if he gives you a return time to be at the bus lol.The hotel accommodation was very good especially after the first day, which was full of sites. The Capitol Building tour was excellent and I look forward to booking a tour again in the future.
I took a tour for Washington DC. The tour was amazing. The bus and hotel were nice and comfortable. The tour guide covered a majority of the spots on day 1 but I feel that day 2 was greatly under utilized.
The tour guide could have provided some more time at the museums and should have made a better use of day 2.
Very well organised trip. Everything was arranged already. the hotel was nice and clean, the attractions are worthy of going. and the price is so cheap, beside that the tour guide, Tana was friendly and knowledgeable about her site. She explained every signal attraction in both Chinese and English. it was excellent trip.
My tour was excellent starting with my tour guide who was very knowledgeable, polite, pleasant, professional and helpful. He took the time to explain in detail every single aspect of the tourist attractions. He made it clear to us where we needed to meet him after touring on our own and he was clear as to what time we needed to regroup. I enjoyed speaking the few words that I know in Chinese with my fellow passengers. I also spoke some Chinese with my tour guide who was loving enough to seat me next to him so that a couple could sit together throughout the trip. He also put me together with a lady who was also a single traveller so that we wouldn\'t be alone in our rooms. My roommate has travelled to many places and is multiracial like me. I learned a little bit about Holland-thanks to her, and I will never forget her and her long travels alone from Holland to Canada and her drive from Canada to the US. I enjoyed every aspect of trip. It was very affordable, and I have many pictures to show for.
My overall comment is that the tour was above expectation, mainly because of the two guides we had-Brandon and Sam which were both very courteous, attentive and accomodating. The tour gave opportunity to gain good info and memorable snapshots of the iconic buildings, monunemts and memorials.Good to see many places within a short time span. Accomodation was really good. Rest stops were planned out well. Well done.
I can say "it was ok". My biggest disappointed was that I had to see the White house really far away, when this was supposed to be a place where we'd go in. so to the last minute (literally) the tour guide told us that we'd not be able to do it because the holidays. I think they should know that in advance. They charge you extra fees when you are coming back. They offer you a buffet for 15/person in a really bad Chinese restaurant. The trip to Baltimore is a really waste of time, because you take like an hour to get there and they only give you 30 minutes to stay, just to see water lol.
Hotel was good, the places you visit too, but too short ranges of time to visit. Air space museum is great! Washington is such a good place to met, but if can go driving it would be much better!
Dear Alejandro, The White House is not open for public. All tours can not enter White House for inside visit. Passengers can only see it from outside.
It was great!! Well organized, the tour guide was reliable and responsible. The hotel was clean and nice. I suggest to announce extra expenses at the beginning of the tour, admission fees to places and tips. Otherwise me and my friend had a wonderful time.
Trip was excellent. Hats off to the way it was organized. Though the time given at each attraction seemed short initially, I surprisingly realized it was comfortably sufficient. Hotel was excellent. Eagerly looking forward to taking more tours with you.
I went on this tour with my children thought it will be stressful but I really enjoyed compared. The tour guide Philip and the drive was very nice and helpful. Before coming out of the coach my stroller is out waiting for me. The hotel Wyndham at Viginia we stayed was very good with free breakfast. More than value for money.
I enjoyed lot very much with my family in 2 days Washington DC trip. It is very thrilling. Washington DC is wonderful. Batimore is most forgetful. Only one concern is my guide. She is speaking one sentence is in english and one sentence is in Chinese. I did not under stand either english or Chinese. She can explain first in english then she can do in Chinese. Instead of she is mixing both. It is very confusing. Over all the tour is cheap and best. I would prefer another tour from this company. I am planning for another tour from Take Tours.
Excellent trip; our tour guide Carmen is a A-grade guide who cares the need for the customers - explains the sight points well and is very nice to everyone. The time is pretty pack but as expected since we covered quite a lot of points within a few hours. The hotel is very good like a 3-4 star one!
It is a very good experience, we not only went to Baltimore and DC, but also covered Philadelphia. The negative point is in Baltimore we only went to inner harbor for one hour or so and there is not much to see. but it is not enough time to go to that famous aquarium at the harbor.
The tour was wonderful. They even upgraded ours by including the Shenadovah Caverns. Was able to cover many places in 2 days. Only negative point was the guides english was very poor, and we cannot understand much of what she said.
We are a family of four, and we have taken tours from Gotobus before. I must say, that this was the best tour as compared to the last two tours i took. David, out tour guide, was outstanding! No matter what attraction you are visiting, the moment you need your tour guide for any assistance or even to go back to the bus, he would be there. Explains well, directs well, and his sense of humor was a plus. We reached the hotel at 10am, which was not bad. I am thinking of taking a 4 day Canada tour with them. The only issue is that it becomes really tiresome and i feel the wake up call at 6.30am is too early. Overall, this tour was well planned!
The trip was just awesome. We were surprised to find out that there was no delay in the start time. The places where the bus stopped for restrooms were very clean. DC was shown with great care. We stopped for almost all attractions that are famous and got ample time to take photos and view those places. They kept us in a very good hotel which made me instantly make up my mind to book my next tour with taketours once more. Thank you.
Very organized tour. Myself and my cousins from India enjoyed it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and very friendly. I have recomended this tour to my brother and family who is visiting me in May.
