Day 1: Paris

Today we will gather in Paris. After checking in, guests are free to spend the rest of the day as they please.

Day 2: Paris

Today we will sightsee in Paris, FR. Stops on our tour include the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Paris-Sorbonne University, Champ Elysees. We will also see the outside of the Louvre. At the end of the day, guests are invited to join the director at a farewell dinner in the city.

Paris has been a thriving city for more than two thousand years. It is known all over the world as a city of art and romance, from its high-end cafes to the famous visage of the Eiffel Tower.

Eiffel Tower

One of the most famous monuments in the world, the Eiffel Tower has been a symbol of Paris, France, and Europe since 1889. It was erected as the entryway to the 1889 World's Fair, and has been wowing visitors ever since.

Arc de Triomphe

This breathtaking neoclassical arch is one of Paris' most famous monuments. It commemorates those who fought and died in the French Revolution and Napoleonic wars. It also sits atop the Tomb of the Unknown Solider for World War I.

Paris-Sorbonne University

One of the top-ranked universities in the world, the University of Paris IV -Paris-Sorbonne was formed after student protests and riots forced the division of the University of Paris into thirteen independent schools in the 1970s.

Champs Elysees

Champs Elysees is the name of both an upscale street and shopping district in Paris. It is on the cafes, boutiques, movie theaters, and more. One of the most famous streets of the world, is also known for its many monuments.

The Louvre

(Outside Visit) One of the most well-known art museums in the world with one of the largest collections, the Louvre houses such masterpieces as the Mona Lisa and works by artists ranging from Raphael to Monet and everyone in between.

Day 3: Paris - Giverny - Rouen - Deauville(210 km)

Today we will start the day with a visit to Giverny, home of impressionist painter Claude Monet. The famous Water Garden(open from April to October) at Giverny was the inspiration behind. From there we will travel to Rouen, FR, where we will tour the inside of the impressive Rouen Cathedral. Next, we would enjoy a stop in lovely Honfleur, situated on the Seine estuary. Then we will continue to the seaside resort of Deauville.

Giverny, FRANCE

A settlement has existed in Giverny since neolithic times and a monument uncovered attests to this fact. Archeological finds have included booties dating from Gallo-Roman times and to the earlier 1st and 2nd centuries AD. The town was known in ancient deeds as "Warnacum". The cultivation of grapes has been an occupation of the inhabitants of Giverny since Merovingian times.

Monet House

For more than 40 years, this house was the home of legendary impressionist painter Claude Monet. After his death, his don donated it to the Academie des Beaux-Arts, who restored it and turned it into a museum.
Rouen, FRANCE

A city on the River Seine in the north of France. It is the capital of the region of Normandy. Formerly one of the largest and most prosperous cities of medieval Europe, Rouen was the seat of the Exchequer of Normandy during the Middle Ages.

Rouen Cathedral

This 800-plus year old cathedral in northwestern France is a dramatic example of the type of architecture that dominates the Gothic tradition. Its many intricate spires and elaborate stained glass have made it popular with visitors the world over.

Day 4: Deauville - Normandy(191 km)

Our day today is an exploration of Normandy, FR. We will first visit its beaches, which became famous after the World War II invasion on D-Day. Our exploration of modern history will take us to Arromanches-les-Baines and the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. Next, we will ancient history at the Musee de la Tapisserie de Bayeux, home of the Bayeux Tapestry. Finally, we will visit the walled city at Mont Saint-Michel.

Normandy, FRANCE

One of the 18 regions of France, roughly referring to the historical Duchy of Normandy.It covers 30,627 square kilometres,comprising roughly 5% of the territory of metropolitan France.

Arromanches-les-Baines

This small township on the northeastern coast of France is significant due to its location at the center of the area in which the Allied invasion of Axis-occupied France took place on D-Day during World War II.

Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial

This military cemetery and war memorial near the northern coast of France serves as a tribute to the American soldiers who died in Europe during World War II, particularly those who were killed during the invasion of Normandy on D-Day.

Musee de la Tapisserie de Bayeux

The Bayeux Tapestry is a 230-foot-long cloth from about 1070 AD that has embroidered on it the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England. It contains fifty historic scenes sewn in still-bright colors and a decorative border.
Le Mont-Saint-Michel, FRANCE

is an island commune in Normandy, France. It is located about one kilometre (0.6 miles) off the country's northwestern coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches. 100 hectares (247 acres) in size, the island has a population of 44 (2009).

Mont Saint-Michel is a town of 44 people located on an island off the coast of Normandy. The island is dominated by a massive castle that is one of France's most popular landmarks. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 5: Normandy - Saint-Malo - Rennes - Amboise(588 km)

In the morning we will drive west along the French coast. Our first stop of the day will be the resort town of Saint-Malo, FR. From there we will head southeast, stopping briefly at the town of Rennes, FR. Finally, we will arrive in the town of Amboise, FR, where we will spend the night.

Saint-Malo is a walled city on the northern coast of France that dates back to the sixth century AD. Its many history buildings dating back over a millennia have made it a popular destination for tourists and vacationers.

Day 6: Amboise - Chenonceaux - Amboise(25 km)

Today we will have an entire day dedicated to the exploration of the Loire Valley region. Guests are invited to join an optional tour that includes a visit to the Chateau de Chenonceau as well as an exploration of the town of Amboise, FR.

The population of permanent residents hovers about 400, as of 2012, but there is a large influx of tourists during the summer months, because the village adjoins the former royal Chateau de Chenonceau, one of the most popular tourist destinations in France.

The Chateau de Chenonceau dates back literally a millennia. The first mention of it in writing occurs in the eleventh century A.D. It is immediately recognizable due to the sweeping arches that make up the base of the building.
Amboise, FRANCE

is a commune in the Indre-et-Loire department in central France. It lies on the banks of the Loire River, 17 miles (27 km) east of Tours. Today a small market town, it was once home of the French royal court. The town of Amboise is also only about 11 miles (18 km) away from the historic Chateau de Chenonceau, situated on the Cher River near the small village of Chenonceaux. Its former name was Ambacia, from the old name of the river and marsh Amasse.

Day 7: Amboise - Chartres - Paris(198 km)

On our way back to Paris, we will visit picturesque Blois with its renaissance castle. After that, we will stop in the town of Chartres, FR, which is famous for the imposing Chartres Cathedral. Upon our arrival in Paris in the evening, guests will have free time to explore or arrange an optional activity with the tour director.

Chartres is built on a hill on the left bank of the Eure River. Its renowned medieval cathedral is at the top of the hill, and its two spires are visible from miles away across the flat surrounding lands.

The Chartres Cathedral is about 50 miles southwest of Paris. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is known the world over for its amazing Gothic architecture. It dates back to the thirteenth century A.D.

Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email. Within 72 hours of submitting your reservation you will receive a confirmation email confirming the booking status. Please do not book any airline tickets until you receive the status of your booking.

Redemption

You will receive an confirmation email (e-ticket) after your order was received. Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your Confirmation Email (e-ticket). When you reserve your attractions and services you will be asked to print e-tickets to present when you arrive at your destination. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
Prices: All vacation prices are based on rates (reflecting foreign exchange rates) known at the time of publication and expected to be in effect at the time of departure, and do not include airfare except where noted. Vacation prices are per person, based on double occupancy. Single room supplements and triple and quad room reductions are listed where applicable. Not all accommodation types are available on all vacations.
Standard Cancellation Fees escorted and independent vacations: (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
45 days prior to the commencement of services: $250 per person will be charged.
45-22 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
21-8 days prior to commencement of services: 30% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
7-1 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
On departure day and later: 100% of total price* plus Travel Protection payments
The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
Reservation Changes: A fee of $50 per transaction will be charged for any alteration or revision made to a reservation. A change of traveler name, vacation date, or itinerary within final payment will be treated as a full cancellation and new reservation; vacation cancellation fees (as above) apply.
Contact Information: Passengers are responsible to ensure that operator Travel has the correctly spelled name, address, phone number, email and fax data for all passengers. Names printed on the invoice must exactly match the first and last name written in their passport (middle names or initials are not needed). Operator will not be responsible for passengers who do not receive documents due to inaccurate information.
Passports and Visas: Passengers are responsible for obtaining and paying for all visas and entry documents, for meeting all health and other requirements, and for any documents required by the laws, regulations, orders, and/or requirements of the countries you will visit. Most countries require that the passport be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the conclusion of your trip. It is recommended you have a minimum of three blank pages in your passport when traveling, as many countries require blank pages. Multiple-entry visas are required for some vacations. It is your responsibility to verify all visa and passport requirements.
Baggage Allowance: Due to limited motorcoach capacity, your single bag should have dimensions not exceeding 30"x21"x11" and weight not exceeding 50lbs (22kg). We regret that we are unable to accept a second suitcase or any luggage exceeding these limits on any vacation listed in this brochure.
Children: Travelers who are less than 18 years old on the departure date must be accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the vacation. We do not accept children less than 8 years old.
Travel Protection (Insurance): Comprehensive trip insurance is highly recommended by operator.
Travelers with Disabilities: Tour participants requiring any form of assistance are required to notify operator in writing at the time of reservation, and must be accompanied by an individual responsible for providing those services. Tour managers, guides, drivers or other tour, hotel, ship personnel are not able to provide such assistance. Wheelchairs + Walkers: Due to physical constraints and space limitations, wheelchairs and walkers may not be taken aboard motor coaches and/or river cruise ships. Operator reserves the right to remove any person from a tour or cruise who has not provided the required notification, has not received written confirmation from operator, or does not comply with these regulations. All related expenses, including those to return home, will be borne by the passenger.
Hotel Accommodations: The accommodations listed in the brochure or on the Web site are intended to be used on all departures; however, if a change becomes necessary for any reason, including additional departures on the same date, the accommodations substituted will be equivalent to those shown. Every effort is made to reserve only twin-bedded rooms. Occasionally, some hotels will only provide double-bedded rooms. These rooms will be allocated to couples. Please note that accommodation check-in times vary worldwide.
Service Inquiries After the Vacation: Any complaint or claim involving the vacation services offered in this brochure or on the Web sites must be notified to the Company within 30 days of the tour completion, except where such time limitations are prohibited by law.
As it is difficult and sometimes impossible to properly investigate a complaint if we are not advised of such complaint quickly, any compensation you may have been able to claim could be reduced or even forfeited if you do not follow the complaints procedure set out in this clause.
RESPONSIBILITY: Operator and its representatives abroad act only as independent contractors acting on behalf of neither the customer nor the suppliers and principals. All exchange orders, coupons, and tickets, whether paper or electronic, are issued subject to the terms and conditions under which such means of transportation, accommodations, and other services are offered or provided. The issuance and acceptance of such documents shall be deemed to be consent to the further conditions. Operator does not own nor operate the hotels, motor coaches, airlines, cruise lines, or any other service providers which compose their tours, and will not be held responsible for changes and/or cancellations for any reason by airlines, hotels or cruise ships.
The Travel Agent and/or Tour Operator, shall not be in any way liable for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay, or irregularity in any vehicle, or through the act of default of any company, or person engaged in conveying passengers, or of any hotel proprietor, personnel, servant or any other person otherwise in connection therewith. Operator shall not be held responsible for potential risks and hazards associated with travel to destinations included in this brochure, where injury, delay, or unanticipated events may occur. Operator shall not assume responsibility for standards of quality, hygiene, political stability, cuisine, sanitation facilities, diseases or viruses contracted while traveling for any cause, cleanliness, telecommunications facilities, methods of conducting business, emergency medical evacuation, treatment, or medical services found in these destinations. Travel to these areas may entail risks including but not limited to the hazards of traveling in politically unstable areas, civil disturbances, war, and arbitrary changes mandated by government authorities or private concerns. It is the responsibility of the passenger(s) to check with the U.S. State Department, Consular Information, click here for any current advisories and updates to the destinations on their itinerary. Operator shall be held harmless from any and all liability in connection with the foregoing. Operator cannot accept responsibility for loss or expense due to delay or changes in transportation schedule or other causes.
