In the morning, guests will be picked up in Reykjavik to begin this tour. We will begin our journey in the geothermal area of Landmannalaugar, where we will see Hjalparfoss waterfall. While in this area, we will be able to enjoy a relaxing bath in the naturally warm pool created by the mixture of many hot and cold springs (Please Note: use of soap is forbidden in the pool). After this, we will continue west towards Hekla, the country's most infamous active volcano. Afterwards, we will return to Reykjavik via the Hellisheidi Mountain Heath. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

    Located in the southern region of Iceland, Landmannalaugar is a lava field popular for its hiking trails. Visitors can relax in the natural hot and cold springs, fish for arctic char, horse back ride and more.


    Hjalparfoss is a unique and stunning double waterfall located in the interior Highlands of southern Iceland. Hjalparfoss drains into the local rivers and offers views of the nearby active volcano, Hekla.

    Hekla Volcano

    Hekla Volcano, often referred to as Mt. Hekla, is a stunning geological feature in the Landmannalaugar/Highlands region of Iceland. Visitors can enjoy the dramatic landscape during a driving excursion with a knowledgeable tour guide.

    Hellisheidi Mountain Heath

    Hellisheidi Mountain Heath is a lava plateau located east of Reykavik. Visitors can experience dramatic mountain ranges and geological features dating back thousands of years. Hellisheidi is also home to the third largest geothermal power station in the world.
