Day 1

The bus driver pick up in Reykjavik from Reykjavik terminal at Skógarhlíð 10, we will head outside the city to get as far from light pollution as possible. The weather forecast plays a big influence on choosing the location. The location can be anywhere from 30-60 minutes from Reykjavik Once at the location we will stay for approximately 1.5-2hrs hunting the northern lights before returning back to Reykjavik. The tour lasts around 3 hours, so we will return to Reykjavik around 2.5 hours after starting the tour.

Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland and was founded in 1786. Its important function as a seaport has led to its continual development over the past two-plus centuries. It has been called "the nightlife capital of the north."

Northern Lights and Stargazing

You are about to embark on a mission to see the Northern Lights. All you need to do is gaze skywards into the Arctic night canopy to explore the magic of countless stars and the moon itself.

If you have booked a hotel pickup with Smartbus, please be at your chosen pickup location 30 minutes before the departure of the tour. Look for the Green Smartbus which will be outside your accommodation at within the 30 minutes of pickup.

From October 1st to March 30th departure at 9pm
Departures are highly dependent on weather
Please be sure to arrive 15 minutes prior to departure along with a printed or digital copy of your ticket/voucher.

Price Excludes

For the In-Bus-Audio-Guide: Bring your own headphones. Otherwise headphones are available for purchase in every bus from our hosts.

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

The purchase of any travel services represents your acceptance Terms & Conditions set out herein. Please ensure that you read carefully and understand these Terms & Conditions prior to booking.
Booking changes
A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure, any kind of modification of reservation need notice to TakeTours by email.
CANCELLATION OR CHANGE POLICY
All cancellations or changes of date must comply with the following details: (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
You can get total refund if cancel or change before 1 days of departure date (not including departure date).
Absolutely NO refund on all cancellations or postponements within 1 days prior to departure (not including departure date).
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
It will not be possible to refund this tour in the event of an unsuccessful northern lights hunt. However, you may re-book the tour and continue coming back on subsequent tours until you have a night of successful northern lights.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Tour operator is not responsible for any loss of or damage to personal items, or personal injury that may occur on or during the tour.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
Itinerary Variations
We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
Tour Cancellation:
We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
