Itinerary
In the morning, guests will be picked up in Reykjavik. Today, we will drive along the southern shore of Iceland to the extraordinary glacial lagoon known as Jokulsarlon. On the way, we will pass charming villages as well as the waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss and Skaftafell National Park. Just before we reach the lagoon, we will pass the country's biggest volcano, Oraefajokull and its peak, Hvannadalshnjukur. After we arrive at Jokulsarlon, we will take in a panoramic view of the area before we take a boat tour. Afterwards, we will return to Reykjavik, where the tour will come to an end. Selfoss, Iceland
Selfoss is the largest town in southern Iceland, the Icelandic Route 1 runs through the town on its way between Hverageroi and Hella.
Seljalandsfoss(Passing By)
This waterfall in Iceland is situated between the town of Selfoss and another waterfall, Skogafoss. At a height of 200 feet, it marks where the coastline of Iceland once was thousands of years ago.
Skaftafell National Park, Iceland(Passing By)
The second national park, Skaftafell, is established in 1967 and about 400-500 square kilometres. It contains some of the most precious natural pearls of the country. The rugged landscapes, mountains and glaciers, the flora and the fauna have a magnetic influence on the visitors.
Jokulsarlon, Iceland
A large glacial lake in southeast Iceland, on the edge of Vatnajokull National Park. Situated at the head of the Breioamerkurjokull glacier, it developed into a lake after the glacier started receding from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean.
