  • Itinerary
Our tour begins by heading out to Cambridge, world-renowned academic home to both Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Harvard University, founded in 1636, is the nation’s oldest institution of higher education and remains much in the same brick and mortar colonial style, fenced in by lively Harvard Square. A short bus ride takes you to the MIT campus with its old world meets modernity combination of architecture, exuding the passion for technological advancement that is fostered within its community. After our education, we head back into the heart of the Boston, to see the archaically-designed Massachusetts State House presiding over the city atop a hill that looks out over the Boston Common Park. Originally built in 1795, the State House symbolized America’s post-war vitality and dedication to the values that embarked the move for independence and democracy. Its survival to this day is testament to the richness of Boston’s culture. Next, a Harbor Cruise* will take you around the Port of Boston, historically one of the America’s principal seaports since the days of colonial rule. Boston Harbor has remained an important gateway between the land and the sea throughout America’s lifetime, and was the site of perhaps the most famous revolutionary activity, the Boston Tea Party. From the harbor, you will get the best view of the Boston skyline and watch how the city wraps around alongside the flowing Charles River. In the afternoon we pay a visit to the library dedicated to the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, who began his illustrious career as a representative in Massachusetts. You will not want to miss out on the unique architectural design of the library’s exterior, or the wealth of authentic material on display inside. We cap the tour off in Boston’s downtown with a walk through historic Faneuil Hall, which has been a marketplace and meeting site since 1742. You will be able to stand in the vicinity of where the great revolutionary speakers, Samuel Adams and James Otis, stood when they encouraged their fellows to rise up for independence. Then shop through the endless food stalls, taste fresh seafood cooked in local styles, or join the crowd of people that always gathers around street performers. *Optional activity; fee not included in tour price.  See “Exclusions” for cost details.

Please note order of the tour may be reversed or altered without prior notice.
