  • Cape Town: Cable the Table! Take a scenic ride to the top of one of the ‘New Seven Wonders of Nature’ for 360° views of Cape Town. 
  • Cape Town: Bo-Kaap. The City Centre. V&A Waterfront. This tour takes in all the historical sites & attractions of the Mother City.  
  • Kruger: Our Special Stay is located right inside one of Africa's most famous Wildlife Reserves (that's also within one of its most popular Main Camps - Lower Sabie!). The camp is perched on the banks of the incredible Sabie River with a shop, swimming pool and riverside restaurant, where you can to look out for wildlife coming down to drink. Our exclusive camp comprises of canvas dome tents with stretchers, mattresses, linen, towels and charging outlets. Plus, there's a communal firepit to sit around late into the night, gazing at the stars and listening to the calls of nocturnal animals.
  • Kruger National Park: We’ll head into Kruger National Park, one of the most famous wildlife parks in the whole of Africa, to witness wildlife in their natural habitat.
  • Kruger National Park: Wanna know how K9 Dogs protect wildlife? Come meet one of our Rangers who'll tell you all about the K9 Watchdog Project, their fight against poachers, and how your donations from the MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience helps them save Africa's wildlife from extinction.
  • Kruger National Park: Keep your eyes peeled and those binoculars close. We're heading out to spot more magnificent wildlife (cross those fingers for rhino's!) and stunning scenery with our last game drive as we say goodbye to Kruger.
  • Victoria Falls: See the epic waterfall of your Insta dreams. Take a stroll along the edge and see this ‘the smoke that thunders’ in all its glory.   
  • Chobe: Ready for a night you'll never forget? Our Special Stay in Chobe is a serene camp that's surrounded by nature. You'll find dome tents with stretcher beds, linen and mattress pre-setup in our accommodation for the night. Plus, there's a dining tent and fire to sit around late into the night under millions of stars. Note: Camping in Chobe is only available from April to October, the rest of the year will be at a lodge accommodation outside the park.
  • Chobe: Coast along the banks of the Chobe River in search of thirsty wildlife coming down to drink. 
  • Chobe: Be on the lookout for any wildlife we may have heard the night before! 
  • Okavango Delta: A night in Africa’s Eden? Yep. This is your true African escape, away from technology. It's gonna be just you, nature and the incredible sights, sounds and smells of the wilderness. Our campsite is located right next to the Khwai river where all forms of wildlife (great and small) come down to drink. So, keep your camera with you! Camp staff will set up your tents as well as cook all your meals on open fires. Your tents come with stretchers, mattresses, linen and towels. And the campsite also has a chill tent during the day for relaxing between Game Drives.
  • Okavango Delta: Our first taste of the Okavango Delta, as we head to our Contiki Safari Camp. Hopefully spotting some of the ‘Big Five’ on our way. 
  • Okavango Delta: Get up with the sun in search of the amazing wildlife in this garden of Eden. 
  • Okavango Delta: Enjoy another taste of wildlife spotting this afternoon.
  • Okavango Delta: Enjoy a sunset trip along the waterways of the Khwai River, looking out for the incredible animals that live here. 
  • Okavango Delta: It’s our last drive in the Delta! And our last chance to see any wildlife that eluded us on previous jaunts. 
  • Windhoek: We’ll take a scenic drive through Namibia’s capital, uncovering the city’s top landmarks – from the striking Christuskirche and the Independence Memorial Museum to the grand Parliament Building and its peaceful gardens.
  • Etosha National Park: Experience life in an African bushman village, as the local people give you a snapshot of their desert lifestyle. 
  • Spitzkoppe: We'll stop off in Spitzkoppe for a bite to eat and a chance to check out the granite peaks that stand out across the glorious desert landscape. Group pic by the famous 'Rock Arch', anyone? 
  • Sossusvlei: Explore Sossusvlei, snap shots of Deadvlei and wander around Big Daddy sand dune

Additional Notes

  • DAY 1: Trip starts in Cape Town at 18:00. Travelers to arrive into Cape Town Intl Airport (CPT). The kick-start meeting starts at 18:00. Recommended flight arrival time by 15:00.
  • DAY 22: Trip ends in Windhoek at 08:00. Travelers to depart from Hosea Kutako Intl Airport (WDH). Book flights after 14:30 on the last day of the trip.
  • TRANSFERS: Complimentary and chargeable transfers are not offered through Contiki. Travelers should make their own way from/to the airport at their own expense.
  • SOUTH AFRICA: USA passport holders traveling to South Africa do not require a visa for tourism stays up to 90 days. However, please ensure that guests passport has at least 2 blank visa pages. Guests must be in possession of a return air ticket or onward ticket.
  • BOTSWANA: USA passport holders traveling to Botswana do not require a visa for tourism stays up to 90 days. However, please ensure that guests passport has at least 3 blank visa pages.
  • NAMIBIA: USA passport holders require a visa for Namibia. Visa can be obtained prior to departure or on arrival. We recommend applying approx. 30 days prior to departure.
  • ZIMBABWE: USA passport holders require a visa for Zimbabwe. The visa is obtained upon arrival.
  • IMPORTANT: Please see important visa details sent with your invoice.
  • ENTRY INTO SOUTH AFRICA - All travellers entering or leaving South Africa must complete an online traveller declaration at Customs Online Traveller Declaration | South African Revenue Service before they travel. The declaration must be submitted no more than 24 hours before departure and is required for Customs purposes. Website https://www.sars.gov.za/travellerdeclaration/
  • VACCINATION: Yellow Fever vaccination is recommended for trips visiting East Africa. Yellow Fever certificate not required unless travelers are arriving from or transiting through a country or region listed by the WHO as infected with Yellow Fever (e.g. Kenya). Recommend travelers check with doctor for immunizations and vaccinations prior to travel.
  • INTERNAL FLIGHTS: Luggage allowance is limited to 1 medium bag at max of 50lbs/23kg (ideally soft-sided suitcases without wheels) and 1 piece of hand luggage per traveler to be used as an overnight bag in the Chobe National Park and Okavango Delta. Refer to trip documents for any exceptions.
  • GROUND HANDLER: Contiki sometimes uses ground handlers or third parties to assist with the full or partial operation of our products. The ground handler for this trip is Earthark Safaris (Botswana). Contiki Trip Manager will be onboard.
  • PLEASE NOTE: There will be no camping at the Chobe National Park due to the rainy season on departures from end Oct to end March. Travellers will be accommodated for the 2 nights in Kwalape at the Lodge. The trip stays in Zambia at Victoria Falls from Jan to June and Zimbabwe at Victoria Falls from July to Dec. A towel is required for this trip.
