Metropolitan Cathedral of Nossa Senhora dos Prazeres

      Praca Dom Pedro II

Dom Pedro II was the last emperor of Brazil, ruling until 1889. This public square in Maceio, center to many important historical buildings, is named in memory of the ruler. There is a monument dedicated to the former emperor.
