  • Kerugoya: Built in 1962 and set in rural Kerugoya town on the foothills of Mt. Kenya, the house is located within an operational coffee and tea estate. It is the home of the late Geoffrey Kariithi, a pre-eminent civil servant in Kenya’s first independence government, now run and managed by his daughter Grace.     *DAY 1: Complimentary transfers from Nairobi Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) will operate per flight information details on the first day of the tour or in conjunction with pre-accommodation booked through Trafalgar only.
    *DAY 17: Complimentary transfers to Zanzibar's Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ) will operate per flight information details on the last day of the tour or in conjunction with post accommodation booked through Trafalgar only.
    *INTERNAL FLIGHTS: Internal flight included on tour; any excess luggage charges are at guest's expense.
    *LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE: Each guest is permitted one bag with maximum dimensions of 58 linear inches/147 cm, total of length, width, and height and a weight not exceeding 44 lbs/20 kg. Guests may also bring one personal item, such as a purse or backpack that fits comfortably under the seat in front of them or the overhead compartment weighing no more than 15 lbs/7kg.
    *MANDATORY INBOUND TRAVEL INSURANCE:All Zanzibar visitors must have valid inbound travel insurance covering their stay (up to 92 days). This insurance can only be purchased via the Zanzibar Insurance Corporation before embarking on their journey to Zanzibar at: https://visitzanzibar.go.tz/. Without it, entry may be denied at immigration.
    *ZANZIBAR INFRASTRUCTURE TAX: Zanzibar has an infrastructure tax of USD $5 per person per night, payable in cash at check-out. The amount is subject to change.

    *IMPORTANT: The 4X4 safari vehicle which operates the main land of the tour has limited storage space for luggage. Guests should therefore travel with a medium-sized soft-sided bag or suitcase to ensure we can easily accommodate the luggage of all guests on the tour. Soft sided bags makes it easier for the Driver Guides to pack the luggage space efficiently without having to move some of the bags inside the vehicle if there is no space remaining in the luggage compartment.
