What’s up India explorers! Who’s ready for an intoxicating dose of spice, flavour, yoga, beauty, colour, culture, and everything else wonderful that India can provide? The next 12 days are likely to be some of the best of your life so get ready for some serious memory making, starting off with meeting your new travel fam at kickstart this evening.
Today we’ll explore one of the world’s most hustling, bustling cities (home to a cool 25m people!) With a local guide, we’ll discover Old Delhi, travel by rickshaw, eat street food for lunch, and marvel at the Gurdwara Sikh Temple. Afterwards, the afternoon is yours to explore Delhi your way. Dinner tonight is a DIY vibe, tasting the best of Delhi with your new crew.
Delhi, India
Delhi encapsulates two very different worlds, the âoldâ and the ânewâ, each presenting deliciously different experiences. Rambunctious Old Delhi, the Muslim Indian capital between the 17th and 19th century, has many mosques, monuments, forts and bazaars with a distinctive mediaeval flavour. New Delhi, the imperial city created by the British, flaunts a surprising number of impressive monuments reflecting the glory of the Mughal, Turk, Persian and ultimately the British rulers.
Today’s the day peeps (you know what we’re talking about). After stocking up at breakfast we’ll jump on the bus with Agra in our sights. Time for two of India’s finest. Today we’ll visit the UNESCO World Heritage Agra Fort, and then the main event – the Taj Mahal. We’ll hook you up with an entry ticket too, so you can spend the afternoon exploring at your own pace. Tonight, we’ll head out with the gang for another DIY dinner, Agra style.

Agra, situated on the banks of the river Yamuna, is part of the popular Golden Triangle tourist circuit, along with Delhi and Jaipur. It is also home to UNESCO World Heritage Sites like the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, and Fatehpur Sikri.
Still living off the Taj dream we’ll wave goodbye to Agra early this morning with eyes firmly on the wild horizon. Welcome to Ranthambore, one of the largest National Parks in Northern India (and our home for the night.) After lunch, we’ll visit the Dhonk Craft Centre, a cooperative that preserves traditional artistry, empowers women and also prevents Bengal Tiger poaching. Later tonight, we’ll tuck into a tasty group dinner — set against an unforgettable backdrop.

Ranthambore, India
Tiger time. This morning, we’ll head out on a sunrise safari adventure to try and spot these magnificent predators in the wild. Wild animals and an epic sunrise before breakfast, with Jaipur next on the agenda? Pretty perfect, right? Please Note: This Optional Experience must be pre-booked before your trip via the reservations team as availability cannot be guaranteed once on the trip. On arrival to Jaipur, head straight into town to discover the traditional craftsmanship of high quality Rajasthani rugs, using age-old local techniques unique to the Pink City. Maybe even get a tailor made garment at a local tailor? You’ll then check in to your hotel and have the chance to cook and dine with a local family before the next day ’s adventure begins at the Amer Fort.

Today you’ll discover Jaipur your way – with helpful insider tips from your Trip Manager of course. Want a real slice of India? Opt in for a guided tour of Amer Fort. Built from red sandstone and marble, comprising multiple palaces, pavilions, temples and more, this fort boasts both Hindu and Muslim architectural influence (and is a true must-see.). In the evening, you'll also have the option to discover Jaipur's nooks and crannies on a bike.

We're catching the early morning train to Mumbai, aiming to roll in around lunchtime.Mumbai is a sensory overload where workers, artists, celebrities and fishermen all walk the same walk. This afternoon, you'll have a chance to experience the city with an optional Khau Gully Food Tour, which celebrates the seismic street food of Mumbai.

Wanna see Mumbai differently? Rise with the locals for our optional ‘Mumbai at Dawn’ tour, where we’ll watch the city as it starts its day. Tonight, you'll have the option to hit the dancefloor Bollywood style, with a truly unique dance class.

Even the biggest and best adventures have to end at some point, and this morning sees the finale of ours. After a final breakfast together it’s time for the long (and possibly teary) goodbye. Sure you’ll be sad, but remembering all of the massive moments and seemly insignificant giggles in-between will see you smiling your whole journey home.

- START/END TIMES: Trip starts in New Delhi at 6:00pm and ends in Mumbai at 9:00am.
- TRANSFERS: Chargeable arrival transfers from New Delhi Indira Ghandi Airport (DEL) on the first day of the trip and chargeable departure transfers to Goa Dabolim Airport (GOI) are available on the last day of the trip. Transfers will operate per flight information details and can be booked on a single or twin basis. Twin transfers require two passengers traveling together on the same reference number and flight. Flight details are mandatory minimum 14 days prior to departure to book chargeable transfers.
- INDIA: USA passport holders require a visa for India. Visa must be obtained prior to departure. Depending on visa type, applications can be submitted from 120 days prior to departure up to 4 days prior to departure.
- IMPORTANT: Please see important visa details sent with your invoice.
- INTERNAL FLIGHTS: Luggage allowance is limited to one bag or suitcase of 73cm x 50cm x 25cm (29" x 20" x 10"), with a max weight of 15kg (33lbs) - plus one piece of hand luggage suitable as a carry-on for flights.
- PROOF OF AIRLINE TICKET: Travellers are advised to print out their full flight itinerary including their e-ticket number to enter any airport in India. Due to heightened security at the airport, they must always also have their passport and visa handy.
- MANDATORY E-ARRIVAL CARD: Effective 1 April 2026, the Government of India has introduced a mandatory Electronic Arrival Card (e-Arrival Card) for all foreign nationals and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders. The form must be completed within 72 hours prior to arrival in India. A QR code will be generated upon submission and must be presented at immigration. Families (up to 5 members) may submit a single consolidated form. The form can be completed via the Su-Swagatam App, indianvisaonline.gov.in, or boi.gov.in. Travellers are strongly encouraged to complete this process in advance to ensure a smooth arrival experience.
- RANTHAMBORE NATIONAL PARK MOBILE PHONE RESTRICTION: Following an official notice circulated from the Government of Rajasthan¿s Forest Department of Ranthambore, visitors to the Ranthambore National Park are no longer permitted to carry a mobile phone into the National Park. This rule is effective by the 1st of February 2026. The safari driver and guide will be allowed to carry mobile phones strictly for emergency use only. This decision has been made by the Forest Department to protect wildlife, maintain their natural behaviour, and promote responsible tourism. Please note that guests may continue to carry camera-only devices into the National Park as per existing norms. We recommend that should you wish to capture the national park that you bring a camera-only device on trip with you.
- GROUND HANDLER: The ground handler for this trip is Travelscope India. Contiki Trip Manager will be onboard.
