Day 1: San Juan

Today you will arrive in San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico. Free pick-up time from San Juan International Airport (SJU): 08:00, 17:00, 22:00.

After the tour guide picks up the plane, you will be arranged to check in at the hotel, and in the evening you will enjoy the beautiful and quiet San Juan Old City night tour when your flight arrive before 17:00.

    Night Tour

    First, we will go to the famous seaside boulevard in Old San Juan to experience the lively city life. Afterwards, we will go to the seat of the government office of Puerto Rico: the Capitol Building, which looks like a majestic marble building, and even has a glimpse of the presidential statue that has come to Puerto Rico. Finally, we will come to the bar street in the old town to experience the local people's life style and special wines.

Day 2: San Juan-Ponce (73 km)

Today we will start a pleasant trip to historic Old San Juan to begin our in-depth exploration of this bustling and bustling city, continuing our exploration of America's Caribbean paradise.

    Old San Juan

    The oldest settlement within Puerto Rico and the historic colonial section of the city of San Juan. It is a National Historic Landmark District and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the "Zona Histórica de San Juan".

    El Capitolio

    Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the building is the meeting place for the Legislative Assembly. El Capitolio (the capitol building) is located just outside the Old City Walls. The constitution of Puerto Rico is exhibited on the first floor.

    Plaza Colon

    Plaza Colon is one of the most important plazas in all of San Juan. In the center of the plaza, you'll find a monument of Christopher Columbus, which commemorate the fourth centenary of the arrival of the Spanish.

    La Fortaleza

    The current official residence of the Governor of Puerto Rico, built between 1533 and 1540 to defend the harbor of San Juan. The structure is also known as Palacio de Santa Catalina (Santa Catalina's Palace). It was listed by UNESCO in 1983 as part of the World Heritage Site "La Fortaleza and San Juan National Historic Site".

    La Perla

    The music video for the 2017 Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee megahit set off a touristic boom in the colorful barrio built outside Old San Juan's city walls. But long before "Des-pa-cito" got stuck in everyone's head, La Perla's residents and local organizations were already driving a profound transformation within their community. In the years leading up to filming the video, houses were painted bright colors, murals appeared around the squares, and new businesses started to crop up taking advantage of La Perla's unique vantage point overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

    San Juan National Historic Site

    The San Juan National Historic Site preserves the history of the island, told through Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Castillo San Cristobal, Fuerte San Juan de la Cruz (El Canuelo), the San Juan Gate, and most of the city walls. For centuries, countries fought for control of this Caribbean island because of its strategic location. Be inspired by the stories and the beauty of the architecture and the ingenuity of design of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Catedral San Juan Bautista

    This Roman Catholic cathedral in San Juan is the second oldest cathedral in the Americas. The current building was built in 1540, but before that, a wooden cathedral stood. Unfortunately, that structure was destroyed during a hurrican.

    Located on the southwest coast of the island, La Parguera boasts about 30 tiny mangrove "islands, islets, keys, cays, cayos, or islotes" just 1 to 5 miles off the shore. Once you get to those mangrove cays, you can swim, snorkel, and ride the currents in the crystal-clear, warm water. Getting there via kayak was a great experience, we went with a guide and it was both fun and educational.

    This is a safe and calm Puerto Rico snorkeling experience that is lead by our PADI professionals. You get to snorkel a beautiful reef, then have a brief boat ride until 6 p.m. Then, Noemi prepares some delicious chicken empanadas for your group and you get cold beverages, including local beer and soda. After your meal, head out for the second part of your snorkeling trip: a tour of Puerto Rico’s famous bioluminescent bay. The phosphorescent bay swim is sure to be a fantastic experience for your group. You get to snorkel in the waters of La Parguera’s bioluminescent bay for about 30 – 45 minutes and see the luminescence all around you.

    Bio Bay Fajardo

    Hidden along the Caribbean coast is one of the most spectacular Bioluminescent Bays in the world. The mysterious blue-green light is created by micro-organisms which thrive in an environment uniquely suited to their needs. A trip into the bay at night is a magical experience.

Today, you will end your pleasant trip to Puerto Rico and leave San Juan to return to your sweet home, where you can shop duty free at the airport. We provide free drop-off service from San Juan International Airport (SJU) and free delivery service at the cruise terminal, the shuttle will depart from the hotel to the airport at 8:00, 10:00 and 15:00.
  • Complimentary airport pick-up for San Juan Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU) is available at 8:00, 17:00, 22:00. Please make sure to meet with our staff at the listed time slots with your claimed baggage. Please make sure to be at the meeting point on time.
  • We provide free drop-off service from San Juan International Airport (SJU) and free delivery service at the cruise terminal, the shuttle will depart from the hotel to the airport at 8:00, 10:00 and 15:00.

  • ATV's Land Adventure: Participants must have a valid driver's ID (NOT PERMIT) + lbs. Closed toe shoes are required. Drivers must be 18 years or older. Riders must be 12 years or older.
  • The maximal waiting time for any late passengers is 10 minutes beyond the meeting time announced by the Tour Guide. While we makes every effort to provide on-time service, it does not guarantee to arrive at or depart from any point.as a specific time, which may be affected by any number of factors including weather, traffic, strikes, government shutdowns, war or terrorist attacks, or mechanical prob- lems. We are not liable for any inconvenience or expense caused as a result of such a delay, not liable for the expense of connecting air or train or bus service missed as a result of a delay and not liable for any other travel expense caused as a result of a delay.
  • We reserve the right, when operating conditions require, transferring passengers from one vehicle to another en route.
  • The following documents are recommended to make your check-in process smooth: A valid photo ID is required to board the bus; We recommend you bring a copy of the email confirmation to board the bus.
  • This product is a group activity. If you choose to leave the group, please inform in advance, and obtain the consent of the tour guide. You need to sign the departure agreement form and the unfinished part will be regarded as your own abandonment. The group fee will not be refunded.
  • Gift items in the itinerary that cannot be given away due to force majeure factors such as traffic and weather conditions or personal reasons may be subject to change. Please understand that the fees will not be refunded.
  • Smoking is prohibited aboard the bus in accordance with the law and prohibited in most hotel rooms. Customers are responsible for any penalty charged by the hotel in a non-smoking room at least $250 per night.
  • Pets and animals are not allowed on the vehicle.
  • Luggage is subject to inspection when crossing international borders. You will be asked to declare any items subject to duty upon crossing the border. We are not responsible for any luggage crossing international borders. Passengers must claim all luggage at the border crossing point before proceeding. No luggage is allowed across the border unless claimed by a passenger. We will not provide free transportation to a passenger denied entry across an international border.
  • Guests are required to bring their own relevant documents and materials required for entry or cross-border travel. Whether they can enter or leave the country is subject to the decision of the customs of each country. The inability to enter the country is a force majeure factor, and the paid tour fee will not be refunded.
  • Customer under 18 years old MUST be accompanied by at least one adult. A guardian traveling with children must provide proof of custody or notarized parental authorization for travel. An adult accompanying a child who is neither a parent nor guard- ian of the child should have written permission from a parent or guardian to accompany the child across the border, including the name and contact information of the parent or guardian.

Redemption

  • Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, is included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply. Please be noted that we do not allow departure change 48 hours before departure.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
    More than 45 days prior to departure date (EST): $100 per pax of the tour penalty.
    Less than 44 days but 30 days prior to departure date (EST): 70% of total purchase amount can be refunded
    Less than 29 days but 23 days prior to departure date (EST): 50% of total purchase amount can be refunded
    Less than 22 days prior to departure date (EST) or on departure day (EST): 100% penalty. No refund
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
