San Juan Tours

I picked an all-inclusive hotel in Cancun, which made meals and drinks easy. For the free day I chose Chichen Itza; the drive was long, but the pyramid and cenote made it worthwhile. The Mexico City leg felt packed, especially the city tour and Teotihuacan on the same day, yet I saw a lot in two days.

This 10-day tour really connected the Yucatan with Mexico City, from Cancun's pink lake to Guanajuato's old town. It was a lot of ground, but it flowed well. The Chichen Itza day packed in several stops and we didn't get back until 7:30 PM, which was tiring, but seeing such varied sights made it worthwhile.

There was a free day where you could pick from parks like Xcaret, Xel-Ha, or Xplor, or even Tulum or the pink lake. Transportation and lunch were included, but the tour cost was extra. I chose Xcaret and enjoyed swimming in the underground river.
