DAY1 New York City - Thousand Islands (Apr - Nov) (598 miles)

The bus tour will begin by traveling to the Thousand Islands region (American side); an international tourism destination that encompasses communities on both sides of the U.S.-Canada seaway. The region takes its name from the more than 1,000 islands that dot the lakes and rivers along this international waterway. Here you will be rewarded with a breathtaking glimpse of natures creativity by cruising on the Thousand Islands boat tour at Alexandria Bay. After the cruise, we will travel to our hotel in the city of Amherst, New York, where we will arrive around 8:00 pm.

(November 14 - April) The bus tour will depart from New York City to visit the Niagara Falls. The Falls is collectively made from the American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and the Canadian Horseshoe Falls and are famous for their beauty and as a valuable source of hydroelectric power. In the evening you can enjoy breathtaking views when the intense spotlights shower the falls with different shades of rainbow colors. The Falls is also a place where many couples come to admire the beauty of the falls while enjoying a romantic evening.

Standard Hotel: Sleep Inn Amherst or similar

DAY2 Niagara Fall (day view) - Corning Glass Museum - Washington DC (445 miles)

Early this morning, we will travel to Niagara Falls and enjoy a boat ride on the Maid of the Mist,* which will take us into the rapids at the very base of the Falls in a thrilling half hour you’ll never forget. Be prepared to get soaked as we explore the roar of the Falls on North America’s oldest tourist attraction! (Note: The “Maid of the Mist” is only available April – Oct.) After this we will stop at the Niagara Falls IMAX Theater to experience the Falls by watching The Falls Movie: Legends and Daredevils,* where you will learn about the legends and mysteries surrounding one of the greatest natural wonders in the world. In the late morning, we will leave the Falls and head to upstate New York, arriving in the mid-afternoon at the Corning Museum of Glass,* the largest glass museum in the world, with more than 45,000 objects showcasing over 3,500 years of glassmaking history. Be sure to see their live, narrated glassmaking demonstrations and stop by the gift shop for a unique memento of your trip. Then we will continue on our way to Washington D.C., stopping in Maryland for the night.

DAY3 Washington DC - Philadelphia - New York (230 miles)

In the morning, we will depart Maryland for downtown Washington D.C., where we will visit the Lincoln Memorial with its Greek style architecture, large seated sculpture of Abraham Lincoln, and inscriptions of two of the famous President’s most well-known speeches, as well as the stately Jefferson Memorial, honoring the nation’s third President and Founding Father. We will then move on to the National Air and Space Museum, which has the largest collection of historic air and spacecraft in the world, and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum,* featuring wax figures of all 44 U.S. Presidents. Later we will visit the White House, residence of the President of the United States, and the Vietnam War Memorial, which honors the U.S. soldiers who fell in the Vietnam War. In the early afternoon, we will begin our return journey, stopping along the way in Philadelphia. Here, we will view the centuries-old Independence Hall, home of the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, and the now silent Liberty Bell , which has been a symbol of freedom in America for over 200 years. Upon concluding our time in Philadelphia, we will return to New York City, arriving at approximately 7:00pm.
