Guests of this tour should meet at the location specified in the "Departure and Return" section below. Today, we will get to discover Old Town Krakow on a walking tour, led by a knowledgeable guide, who will give us the rundown on Krakow's long history. In the Main Square (Rynek Glowny), we will see St. Mary's Basilica. Then we will continue to Wawel Hill, an architectural complex, where we can admire centuries-old churches and Renaissance architecture. While on the hill, we will be able to look inside Wawel Cathedral, before the tour comes to a close.
    • Krakow, POLAND

Krakow is the second largest and one of the oldest cities in Poland. Situated on the Vistula River in the Lesser Poland region, the city dates back to the 7th century.

      Main Square

The Main Square is the centerpiece of old town Krakow, home to some of the city's oldest, most important, and most visited buildings. Built in the 13th century, it is the oldest medieval town square in Europe.

      St. Mary's Basilica

This large, Gothic brick cathedral is one of the major attractions in old town Krakow. The most prominent idiosyncrasy of its architecture is the measurements of its towers: one is noticeably taller than the other.

The many buildings on Wawel Hill were constructed over a long period of time, giving a diverse variety to their architecture. Despite this fact, all the buildings seem to fit together with similar architectural motifs.

      Wawel Cathedral

Located amidst the grand architecture of Wawel Hill is the complex's cathedral. It is the third structure on this site, the other two having been destroyed in the 11th and 14th centuries, respectively. The current building is Gothic in design.
