Day 1: Madrid - Trujillo - Lisbon(688 km)

We will depart from the bus terminal in Madrid at 8:00am, making our way to the city of Trujillo in the province of Caceres, Extremadura, where we will have some free time to explore and see the Plaza Mayor many medieval and renaissance buildings that still stand to this day. Afterward, we cross the Portuguese border and continue on towards Lisbon. In the evening, we will have the option of visiting a local venue to experience the traditional Fado music of Portugal.
  • Trujillo, SPAIN

    Trujillo is a municipality located in the province of Caceres, in the autonomous community of Extremadura, Spain. Trujillo is both a centre for tourism, with over 25 hotels, and a regional market town.

    Plaza Mayor

    The Plaza Mayor in Trujillo is unique because of its uneven and irregular design. It is surrounded by buildings dating from around the 16th century. The Church of Santa Maria is a 13th century building that towers over the square.

Day 2: Lisbon(66 km)

In the morning, we will tour Lisbon to see its most famous sights, such as the Alfama Quarter, the Tower of Belem, the Jeronimos Monaserio. We may also take an optional excursion to the nearby communities of Sintra, Cascais, and Estoril.

    This fortified tower off the coast of Lisbon, also known as the Tower of St. Vincent, was built to defend the city in the 16th century. It was built in the Portuguese Manueline style of architecture of the 16th century.

    The Jeronimos Monastery in Lisbon was once the home of the city's Hieronymite religious order, and one of the best examples of the Portuguese Manueline style of architecture. Today, the facility houses the National Archaeology Museum and the Marine Museum.

    Sintra has the most historic buildings and equipped with the natural scenery that signifies the beauty of Portugal. It is approximately 18 miles from Lisbon to Sintra where is also known as the most enchanting city.

Day 3: Lisbon - Fatima - Lisbon(222 km)

In the morning, we will depart Lisbon for Fatima, where we will have free time to visit the Sanctuary of Fatima and the Church of the Santissima Trinidade before returning to Lisbon.

Day 4: Lisbon - Caceres - Seville(580 km)

After breakfast, we will return to Spain and go to the city of Caceres, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to explore this medieval city. Afterward, we will continue towards Sevilla, where we will eat dinner and stay the night.

Day 5: Seville

We will tour Seville in the morning, visiting the Parque de Maria Luisa, the Plaza de Espana, the Seville Cathedral, La Giralda, and Santa Cruz, the city's old Jewish Quarter. We may take an optional tour to the Royal Alcazar of Sevilla, or spend the rest of the afternoon in Seville at our own leisure.

    Plaza de Espana

    A large section of Maria Luisa Park in Sevilla, the Plaza de Espana is a large open space featuring buildings of Renaissance revival architecture. Most of the buildings are currently used for government purposes.

    Seville Cathedral

    The third-largest church in the world (and the largest cathedral), the Seville is a massive Gothic building. Each of its facades has multiple entrances that are all exquisitely and ornately adorned. It was built over an old mosque.

    La Giralda

    La Giralda was once a minaret for the Muslim population in medieval Sevilla, but was converted to a church bell tower after Christian forces had regained power in Iberia. Its design has influenced many other towers around the world.

    Santa Cruz (Jewish Quarter)

    The barrio of Santa Cruz in Sevilla was once the city's Jewish Quarter, and is now the most popular tourist are in the city. The narrow, winding streets and alleyways of this neighborhood remind visitors of a labyrinth.

    Royal Alcazar of Sevilla

    This is a massive palace complex in Sevilla, originally constructed by the city's Muslim rulers. Originally constructed as a military fort, it is the oldest European palace still in use, and is one of the best examples of Spanish-Muslim architecture.

Day 6: Seville - Cordoba(143 km)

In the morning, we will head to Cordoba, visiting the Mosque-Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, and more. Then, we will have the rest of the day free to spend at our own leisure.

    The interior of this dual mosque-cathedral perfectly reflects the religious power-struggle of medieval Spain. The conversion of the church into a mosque lasted from 784 to 987. The complex is massive and features many small chapels.

    Jewish Quarter

    Cordoba's Jewish Quarter is marked by narrow and irregular streets. It houses a medieval Synagogue and the Sephardic House. Unfortunately, this neighborhood was a focal point of the Spanish Inquisition, during which Cordoba played a large role.

Day 7: Seville - Ronda - Marbella(191 km)

On our way to Marbella, we will stop in the white village of Ronda to see its famous Puento Nuevo Bridge. After some free time here, we will continue to the Costa del Sol, arriving in Marbella, where we will eat dinner and stay overnight.

    Puente Nuevo Bridge

    This 18th century bridge crosses a 390-foot deep ravine that divides the small Andalusian city of Ronda. There is a central chamber underneath the bridge's walkway that today houses a small exhibit about the bridge's history.

Day 10: Marbella - Tarifa - Tangier- Casablanca(435 km)

After breakfast, we will depart Marbella towards Tarifa, where we will a ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar. Upon our arrival to the shores of Morocco, we will drive by coach to enjoy a tour through the city of Tangier. Then we will move onto Casablanca, where we will enjoy dinner and accommodations for the evening.

Day 11: Casablanca - Marrakech(219 km)

After breakfast, we will enjoy a sightseeing tour of Casablanca. visiting Anfa Boulevard, Nations Square and residential areas. We will continue our visit seeing the exterior of HassanII Great Mosque. Afterward, we will continue our journey to Marrakech. Upon our arrival, we will visit the the Koutubia, twin mosque of the Giralda of Seville, and the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, will walk by the Medina, souks and the famous Djemaa el Fna Square of great exotic activity. We will enjoy a delicious dinner and an overnight in Marrakech.

    Hassan II Mosque

    This mosque in Casablanca is the largest in the country and the seventh largest in the world. At 60 feet, the minaret towers above the surrounding promontory, standing watch over the Atlantic Ocean.

    Marrakech is a major city in the northwest African nation of Morocco. It is the fourth largest city in the country after Casablanca, Fes and Tangier, and is the capital of the mid-southwestern region of Marrakesh-Tensift-El Haouz.

    Jemaa el-Fnaa

    This marketplace is the main public square in Marrakech, located in the city's old medina district, and is still one of the best local spots for food and artisan craft goods.

    Old Medina

    The Medina district of Marrakech is the city's oldest section, with beautiful architecture and narrow streets and alleyways. It is centered around the Jemaa el-Fna marketplace.

    Koutoubia Mosque

    Located in Marrakesh's medina quarter, this mosque is the city's largest, built around the 12th-century B.C.E., and located near the Jemaa el-Fna marketplace. At night, the entire complex is illuminated by floodlights.

    Saadian Tombs

    This system of tombs dates back to roughly the late 1600s, and was rediscovered in the early 1900s. The tombs are now one of Marrakech's major tourist attractions because of their intricate designs.

    Bahia Palace

    "Bahia" means "brilliance," and one would be hard-pressed to come up with a more apt descriptor for the Bahia Palace in Marrakech, a 19th-century complex that was intended to be the most magnificent palace in the world.

Day 12: Marrakech - Rabat - Meknes - Fez(409 km)

After breakfast, we will go on a sightseeing tour of Rabat, exploring the the exterior of the Royal Palace, Mausoleum of Mohamed V and the Hassan Tower, symbol of this city. We will then continue on our way to Meknes, a city surrounded by 40-km of walls, entering through the Bab El Mansour. Then we will keep on our way until we reach Fez where we will eat dinner and stay overnight.

    Bab el-Mansour

Day 13: Fez

In the morning, we will explore the narrow, 9th-century streets and alleys of Fez in the city's antique Medina district, one of the oldest of its kinds in the world, with its mosques, madrasas, and handicraft shops. We will have the afternoon free to continue to discover this charming city.

Day 14: Fez - Tangier - Marbella(546 km)

Once we have enjoyed our breakfast, we will depart Fez to return to Tangier, where we will board the ferry to return to the Costa del Sol of Spain. We will eat dinner and spend the night in Marbella.

Day 15: Marbella - Granada(180 km)

After breakfast, we will drive to Granada, where we will visit the Alhambra, the massive fortress complex built by the former Arab rulers of southern Spain. We may also take an optional trip to the Caves of Sacramonte and see a special flamenco show.

Day 16: Granada - Toledo - Madrid(433 km)

  • Passport and visas: A valid passport is required for United States citizens. Citizens of other countries require a valid passport and may require additional documents. Such persons should contact consulates of countries to be visited and obtain proper documents before departure. The possession of required and valid passport and visas is the sole responsibility of the traveler. The Tour Operator assumes no liability for lack of proper documents.
  • Cancellation: Once a partial or full payment has been made, cancellations will only be accepted in writing. Cancellation terms will be applied based on the date that the written cancellation is received and based on the following dates prior to departure.
    Cancellations received more than 14 days prior to departure - 10% of total purchase amount.
    Cancellations received within 14 days - No refund.
    No refund will be made for abandonment of services. No refunds will be made for transfers, city tours or any other services (including meals, accommodations or transportation) voluntarily not taken.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your account. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 10% handling fee.
  • Responsibility: The Tour Operator holds itself free of any responsibility for any cause, in all matters connected with hotels, accommodations, sightseeing tours and transportation, whether by air, rail, bus, motorcar, boat or any other means.
