Day 1: Mexico City

After arrival in Mexico City, we will meet with our group and tour Leader at the hotel at 2:00pm. After a short welcome meeting, we will go for a walking tour around the historic center, followed by a guided visit to the National Anthropology Museum. In the evening we will join an optional dinner & get-together in one of the local restaurants/bars.

    National Museum of Anthropology

    National Museum of Anthropology is the largest and most visited museum in Mexico. It contains the world's largest collection of ancient Mexican art and also has ethnographic exhibits about Mexico's present-day indigenous groups.

Day 2: Mexico City - Teotihuacan - La Malinche National Park (140 km)

After breakfast, we will go to visit Teotihuacan. After a tour around the area continue to the La Malinche National Park where we will enjoy a lunch, an optional hike to the summit and spend the night. Then we could enjoy optional dinner & get-together in a nearby restaurant in the evening.

    The park is east of Mexico City. The La Malinche—Matlalcueitl volcano, part of the Trans-Mexican Volcanic Belt, is within the park. The volcano's slope is gentle, and its vicinity to Mexico City makes it a popular weekend destination.

Day 3: La Malinche National Park - Tlaxcala - Cholula - Puebla (64 km)

In the morning, we will head to Tlaxcala after breakfast. We will take a walking tour around the historic center and enjoy a glass of refreshing pulque. Then we will go to Cholula, where you can see the Great Pyramid of Cholula. After a walking tour and an optional lunch in one of Cholula's restaurants, we will go to Puebla. After check-in and some rest at our hotel, we will go out for an evening tour around the historic center and optional dinner in one of the local restaurants.

    Tlaxcala is the capital city of the Mexican state of Tlaxcala and seat of the municipality of the same name. The city still has many of its old colonial structures including the former Franciscan monastery, as well as newer civic structures such as the Xicohténcatl Theater.
  • Cholula, MX

    Cholula is best known for its Great Pyramid, with the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios sanctuary on top, as well as its numerous churches.

    Great Pyramid of Cholula

    Also known as Tlachihualtepetl, it is a huge complex located in Cholula, Puebla, Mexico. It is the largest archaeological site of a pyramid (temple) in the New World, as well as the largest pyramid known to exist in the world today. The pyramid stands 55 metres above the surrounding plain, and in its final form it measured 450 by 450 metres. The pyramid is a temple that traditionally has been viewed as having been dedicated to the god Quetzalcoatl.
  • Puebla, MX

    Due to its history and architectural styles ranging from Renaissance to Mexican Baroque, the city was named a World Heritage Site in 1987. The city is also famous for mole poblano, chiles en nogada and Talavera pottery.

Day 4: Puebla - Mexico City (106 km)

After breakfast, we will check out and depart for Mexico City. We will arrive in Mexico City in the afternoon.

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to TakeTours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    60 days or more prior to departure - No cancellation penalty.
    30-59 days prior to departure - 25% of total purchase amount.
    15-29 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
    Less than 15 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount
    Day of departure - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    Cancellation penalties of all extra services booked with us (airport transfers, pre and post night accommodations, single room surcharge and additional activities):
    31 days or more prior to departure - No cancellation penalty.
    30 days or less prior to departure - 100% of the price of extra services.
    NOTE: There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties. We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, TakeTours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers. We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
