The tour covers the most important masterpieces in the Vatican Museums. Our legally licensed English speaking tour guide will lead you through the rooms and courtyards leading to the Sistine Chapel.You will visit Belvedere Courtyard, Room of the Muses, Gallery of Tapestries, Gallery of Maps, Sobieski Room, Immaculate Conception Room and much more ?
After the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel the tour will walk through St. Peter's Basilica, the world's most famous church.
At the end of the tour, visitors are free to explore the Basilica on their own, but they cannot return to the Museums.

    Sistine Chapel

    In 1508, Michelangelo, the famous Renaissance artist, came to Rome to pain the ceiling of this chapel in the Apostolic Palace, the residency of the Pope. The resulting mural has come to be regarded as a sublime masterpiece.

    St. Peter's Basilica

    Perhaps the most famous church in the world and the center of Roman Catholicism, this ornate basilica in the small sovereign state of Vatican City has been a place of pilgrimage for nearly two thousand years.

    Vatican Museums

    In terms of combined annual visitors, this museum complex, owned and operated by the Catholic Church in Vatican City, is the 5th most visited museum in the world. It houses the Sistine Chapel, the iconic piece by Michelangelo.

Additional Note

  • Dress code: shoulders and knees have to be covered to enter inside the churches. During hot days wear a hat to protect yourself from the sun.
  • The tour starting time can change on the same day, in this case customer will be contacted directly to check availability.
  • Please note that after 5:30 PM guides are not able to enter St Peters Basilica. If you book the 3:15 PM or the 4:00 PM tour an explanation of St Peters Basilica will be given by your guide outside before entering
