Day 1

After guests have met at the specified departure location in Salzburg, we will begin this tour, during which we will go on an adventure deep into one of the famous Salt Mines that made Salzburg famous. Before we leave the city, we will pass by the Hellbrunn Palace. Before entering the salt mine, we will be provided with protective clothing that makes us look like authentic miners. Then, we will ride on a former miner's train into the heart of the mountain. Once inside this remarkable underground world, the knowledgeable guide will amaze us with tales of the mine's history, its uses, and transportation methods. Deeper in the mine, we will enjoy a ride down the original miner slides, which will be fun for all ages. Later, we will float on the lake in a raft. Afterwards, we will return to Salzburg, where the tour will end. Please see "Departure and Return" for more detailed information regarding pickup and drop-off times and locations.

Salzburg, AUSTRIA

Salzburg's claim to fame is being the birthplace of legendary composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. It also served as the setting for "The Sound of Music". Visitors can enjoy the baroque architecture and spend time in the City Center.

Hellbrunn Palace

This early Baroque villa of palatial size in Salzburg, Austria is located in the city's southern district. Built between 1613 and 1619 for the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, it was named for the clera spring that supplied it water.

Salt Mines of Salzburg

An activity great for all ages, this experience will show visitors the value of "white gold" in an adventure deep into the salt mines that made Salzburg famous. You can ride the miner's train or raft across the lake.

Confirmation

All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 2-3 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.

Redemption

Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

Changes to Reservations: A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary will be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
Cancellation penalties per person (request day and departure day are not counted)
15 days or more prior to departure - no penalty
8-14 days prior to departure - 50% of total purchase amount.
Within 7 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every effort to maintain normal operations.
The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of the tour.
Prices may vary and are subject to availability by season, weekend, and/or holiday.
While we will make every effort to maintain a regular operation, we reserve the right to cancel a scheduled trip and issue a full refund to affected customers under special circumstances.
