Day 1: Seoul-Suwon-Andong-Gyeongju (298 km)

Our first stop is Suwon City, a paradise for architecture lovers and history fans, as well as the location of the historic site Hwaseong Fortress. Then we'll drive to Andong Hahoe Village. We'll overnight at Gyeongju, you can optional to take a night tour here.
  • Suwon, KOREA

    Suwon is the largest city in Gyeonggi-do province, with World Heritage–listed fortifications still looping around its heart.

    Hwaseong Fortress

    The World Heritage–listed fortress wall that encloses the original town of Suwon is what brings most travellers to the city. Snaking up and down Paldal-san (143m), the fortification wall stretches a scenic 5.7km past four majestic gates, command posts, pavilions, observation towers and fire-beacon platforms. Built by King Jeongjo and completed in 1796, it was constructed of earth and faced with large stone blocks and grey bricks, nearly all of which have been restored.

    A city in South Korea, and the capital of North Gyeongsang Province, known as a centre of culture and folk traditions. The surrounding area maintains many ancient traditions, such as the Andong Folk Festival and the Andong masks.

    Hahoe Village

    The village is a valuable part of Korean culture because it preserves Joseon period-style architecture, folk traditions, valuable books, and an old tradition of clan-based villages. It is listed by the South Korean government with UNESCO as a World Heritage Site with Yangdong Folk Village in 2010.

    A head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism classified as Historic and Scenic Site No. 1 by the South Korean government.In 1995, Bulguksa was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List together with the Seokguram Grotto, which lies four kilometers to the east.

    Cheonmachong Tomb

    Daereungwon Tomb Complex, also known as Cheonmachong Tomb, is a burial site located in Gyeongju, South Korea. It dates to the Silla Kingdom, which ruled the Korean Peninsula from 57 BC to 935 AD and is believed to be the burial site of a Silla King or nobleman. The tomb is famous for the discovery of a wooden horse and various other artifacts, which have provided valuable insights into the culture and society of the Silla Kingdom.

During the festival, the area is transformed into a hub of activity, with screenings, events, and parties taking place around the clock. The square also serves as a gathering place for film industry professionals, filmmakers, and fans, making it a central hub of the festival.

    Songdo Skywalk

    Songdo Skywalk is located on the eastern side of Songdo Beach, connecting to Geobukseom Island.     Huinnyeoul Cultural Village

    Huinnyeoul Cultural Village is a cultural village community with the villagers. Huinnyeoul-gil, a representative original downtown area of ​​Busan, was named because the meandering stream at the foot of Bongraesan Mountain resembles the appearance of white snow. In December 2011, an old house was remodeled and now it has been reborn as a unique culture and art village where you can feel the life of Yeongdo.

    Gukje Market Food Street

    Gukje Market Food Street boasts over 60 years of history. It offers delicious Korean food such as gimbap, sundae (Korean blood sausage), and noodles. The open seating and street dining are representative characteristics of the traditional marketplace. The area specialty is Chungmu Gimbap (rolls made of dried seaweed stuffed with rice and served with spicy radish and boiled squid) and is wildly popular among Koreans and international tourists

    Haeundae

    Blue Line Park goes from Haneundae Mipo through Cheongsapo and to Songjeong for a total of 4.8 kilometers. The park renovated an old railroad track for a tourist coastal train. The park also has a sky capsule, a four-person capsule, that rides 7-10 meters above ground.
