Nan Lian Gardens:Over the 3.5-hectare area and is the only Tang Dynasty landscape Garden layout that can be traced today. Each stone, tree, rock or water elements are landscaped after specific rules and regulations. It is built with a one-way circular route which will take you through the best views of the Garden.

Chi Lin Nunnery: Where Buddhist nuns meditate and seek enlightenment. It covers 33,000 square meters and consists of a dozen different halls, lotus ponds, and a five-floor thousand-Buddha pagoda. As a Buddhist temple, Chi Lin Nunnery also has statues of Sakyamuni Buddha, Guanyin, and other Buddhas.

Wong Tai Sin Temple:Taoist Temple where tens of thousands of worshippers pray to their ancestors and to the Temple deities. Wong Tai Sin Temple is not only popular among locals but also very well-known among Chinese from all over the world. It was said and strongly believed that Wong Tai Sin would grant whatever is requested.

Fortune telling:is also another main reason for the temple is well known. It is said that the accuracy of the fortune telling in this temple is very high and accurate. When you visit the temple, you may kneel down in front of the altar, and make a wish by shaking a bamboo cylinder containing bamboo fortune sticks until one stick falls out. You may exchange this fortune stick for a piece of paper with a number on it and find one of the many soothsayers next to the temple who will interpret the fortune for you.

Sneaker Street:is on Fa Yuen Street between Argyle and Dundas, you will find a big selection of sneakers from all the big brand names. If you find something you like, don't hesitate too long as it might be sold out later due to its' fast turnover.

Fire Dragon Heritage Centre was constructed in 1909, the original building was named Hung Shing Yi Hok, meaning 'Confucius free school for the poor'. It was destroyed during the Second World War and reconstruction on the same site was finished on 20 November 1949. The existing building was assessed as a Grade 3 Historic Building in 2010. 6th Stop: Wonton Noodles Restaurant

Take a ding-ding tram to Causeway Bay. After all the walking, it's time to treat your taste buds and give your feet a well-deserved break. Bite into these delectable bite-sized dumplings, lovingly filled with succulent shrimp and pork. 9th Stop: Traditional Chinese wedding costume shop

Our knowledgeable tour guide will tell you an interesting story about the origin of the Cheongsam and Kwan Kwa (wedding costumes with patterns of dragons & phoenixes). The technique of making this traditional chinses wedding costume is titled on the list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Hong Kong.

10th Stop: Petty person beating

Further down to another area for a taste of living culture - an ancient tradition of "petty person beating" (da siu yan in Cantonese) - a Chinese folk ritual to dispel evil, particularly the kind brought by enemies. This folk custom is not only included in the intangible cultural heritage but also published in the international book "Time Magazine" and is widely known around the world.

11th Stop: Traditional herbal tea shop

For the last stop, it is time to take a break at a herbal tea shop. Herbal tea has a long history and carries unique folk wisdom and traditional culture. Herbal tea shops can be found everywhere in Hong Kong, and herbal tea has become a staple drink in people's daily lives.

Get ready to experience one of the most impressive public transportationsystems in the world! We'll be taking the "ding ding" (tram)and the Double Decker bus. Your friendly tour guide will point out the most interesting sights and share fun facts with you during this walking tour.

1st Stop: Montane Mansion

fantastic architecture in Quarry Bay consists of 5 connecting buildings that form an E-shaped architecture complex, centered around the courtyard. This giant architecture is a residential complex but the apartment units are small and you can best feel the density of the city when you stand in the courtyard. Each small patio is dotted with wet laundry hanging to dry, lounge chairs for sunning, and flowerpots a common characteristic of local housing throughout Hong Kong. The facade of the building is rainbow coloured, which also makes this development more vibrant and lively, making it so popular among photographers for years and gaining popularity with tourists as well. It has also become a popular filming location for Hollywood blockbusters and the most famous one is "Transformer IV".

2nd Stop: Chun Yeung Street

We will take "ding ding" further to the area of North Point and will explore the Chun Yeung Street market - the market retains a local feel where the locals still shop nowadays. Local stores are lined on both sides of this narrow street, selling fresh fruits, vegetables, meat, and live seafood, what makes it unique is when the tram runs through, people will all stop and wait until the tram is gone through.

3rd Stop: Sunbeam Theatre

The landmark theatre in North Point has been synonymous with Cantonese opera for the past 4 decades. The theatre is designated especially for Cantonese opera performances, it is divided into a grand auditorium with 1044 seats and a small one with 240 seats as a multi-purpose theatre for stage performances. This is the last private theatre in Hong Kong for stage performances. The atmosphere in the auditorium is so different from the other public performing centres, the audience is allowed to pay a surprise visit to their idols at the backstage or dressing rooms which is the special culture of the Sunbeam Theatre.

4th Stop: North Point

Family-run Chinese embroidery slippers store - the last few "hand-made Chinese embroidery slippers" stores in Hong Kong that started their business in 1960. They persist in offering "Made in Hong Kong" products. (we only want to explain the history of Hong Kong, it is not an appointed shopping stop)

5th Stop: Causeway Bay

Then we will take "ding ding" again further down to a place called "Goose Neck Bridge" in the busiest area of Causeway Bay to share fun and experience by watching how the "beaters" help the people in need to eliminate their enemies and misfortune by "beating the petty person". "Petty person beating" is a popular cultural ritual practice in Hong Kong that believes that "petty persons" are someone bringing bad luck, or troubles or doing something harmful to them. When people have no way to express their anger or hatred towards these "petty persons" they will hire beaters to beat the "human portrait" (represents the petty persons) and do a sequence of steps to prevent them from harassment and make sure these petty persons can no longer harm them after being beaten.

6th Stop: Causeway Bay

After all these walks, it's time to relax our feet a bit, let us take you to a family-run traditional noodle shop to enjoy the wonton noodles and broth. You can also have it with 1 beverage. "Wonton" is a Cantonese word for bit size dumpling made stuffed with shrimp and pork, served with noodles and smothered in aromatic chicken broth.

At the end of the tour, our tour guide will show you the way to the nearest entrance of Causeway Bay MTR station or alternatively, you are also welcome to stay behind and explore this area on your own.

We will start to walk and stop by an iconic wet market that offers a blast into the past, 618 Shanghai Street - This is a revitalization project comprising a total of 14 building numbers at Nos. 600 to 626 Shanghai Street, Mongkok, and our new stopping point. They include 4 post-war residential buildings and 10 pre-war shophouses which had been accorded Grade 2 Historic Buildings by the Antiquities and Monuments Office in 2010. Also, it offers a variety of local lifestyle shops. You can buy some souvenirs here.

We will have the tasting of "Chinese BBQ" which is also known as "Siu Mei". These are highly seasoned meats, roasted on an open fire or in a rotisserie oven, most popular "Siu Mei" is barbecue pork (boneless), barbecue goose, and roast pork.

Then, we will stop at 2 more family-run tasting food stalls featuring Hong Kong's classic food which may include sweet Tofu dessert (very silky smooth tofu with sweet syrup), the marvellous fresh baked egg tarts or pineapple buns from the local bakery.

We begin our tour with a tasty sampling brunch at a local "Hong Kong style cafe" (Cha Chang Teng) for iconic drinks like milk tea or mixed milk tea and coffee, Hong Kong-style French toast, pineapple bun with fresh butter, breakfast sandwiches and other morning specialities.

Between our tastings, we will stop by an iconic wet market that offers a blast to the past. Wet markets are the traditional places that sell poultry, live fish, and fresh meat which require frequent "floor washing", this is where the name "wet market" came from. Wet markets are usually wet, smelly and fishy but also the places to get the freshest food at the cheapest prices.

We will stop at three family-run tasting food stalls featuring Hong Kong's classic food which may include samples of roast pork belly or Barbecue pork, marvellous mini egg puffs and egg tarts from the local bakery.

On our way, we will pay a visit to the "Blue House" which was the original site for the first hospital in the 1870s but was acquired by the government in the 1970s, and the outer walls were painted blue and were thus named the "Blue House". During the 1960's - 1970's, Kung Fu Master, Wong Fei Hung, had a student named Lam Sai Wing, who launched a Kung Fu Studio at Blue House with his nephew. The Building also houses the "Hong Kong House of Stories" which is open to visitors.

Towards the end of the tour, we will make a stop at Pak Tai Temple. The temple is a Taoist temple, built in 1863, and is the biggest of its kind in the city. It consists of three halls with the main hall housing the three-meter tall copper image of Pak Tai with the images of Lung Mo (Dragon Mother) on both sides. The temple is now listed as "a grade 1 historical building by the Antiques Advisory Committee for permanent preservation.

After the tour is finished, our foodie guide will see you off at the Wan Chai MTR station.
