Day 1: Northern Lights Viewing

We will pick you up at the Yellowknife Airport and take you to the hotel. Yellowknife is located directly under the aurora oval thus giving it the highest chances anywhere worldwide to see the Northern Lights. After a rest at the hotel, we will pick you up at the hotel. The first night of Northern Lights viewing begins!

    Aurora Borealis (also called the Northern Lights) is a natural phenomenon where atmosphere emits colorful, bright lights that swirl and dance across the sky. We'll wait for the light in the cabin or tent usually, but if the weather not allowed like cloudy, we'll chase after the aurora by car.

Day 2: Yellowknife Tour - Northern Lights Viewing

We will enjoy morning free at leisure. In the afternoon around 12:00pm, we will take a tour of Yellowknife. The tour guide will take you to visit and explain several major attractions of the Yellow Knife, including the Aboriginal village N'dilo, the gift shop and the Prince of Wales Northern Heritage Centre and receive the Little Yellow Knife souvenir and 60 degrees north latitude certificate. After that we'll optional to take Snowmobile or Dog sledding at own expense or rest at hotel. In the evening, we will get another chance to view the Northern Lights.

    Yellowknife Snowmobiling

    Come and take a snowmobiling adventure, which gives you a chance to survey the beautiful landscape and maybe see some of the local wildlife!

    Duration: Approx. 1 Hour

    Polar dog sledding

    Under the control of professionals, you can experience the pleasure of Mercedes-Benz in the vast snowy sea. You can play snow yo-yos, roast marshmallows, and pose with snowshoes during dog sledding. 12-16 Alaskans/Huskies for 2-4 people on a 15-minute run by the forest lake.

Day 3: Yellowknife

We will take you to the airport and the amazing Northern Lights tour ends.
  • Flight Arrangement: Please note we start to explore Northern light viewing at around 10:00pm for our trip plan. Please arrange your flight accordingly and no later than 9:00pm for your arrival flight, Pick Up service available 24 hours.
  • Meet Up with Tour Guide: Orange Color Jacket & holding welcome with the sign at Terminal.
  • Return:Drop off service is not available until 8:00 am, but guests could book hotel free shuttle bus to the airport.

Price Excludes

  • Air fares between your city and Yellowknife
  • Personal room fees such as laundry or valet services, telephone calls, or alcoholic beverages/mini bar items, unless they are otherwise specified.
  • All meals and drinks during the trip, but the tour guide will arrange for.
  • A mandatory service fees are not included and required. Min CAD $10.00 per person per day to the Driver and Guide. Min CAD $10.00 per person for airport transfer.

Additional Note

  • Winter clothing: Please provide size when booking the tour. Clothing size (XXS / XS / S / M / L / XL); Shoe size (5/6/7/8/9/10/11/12)
  • Booking: If you are making a booking within 14 days of departure, please book airline tickets after your tour booking is confirmed, tour booking will be confirmed within 2-3 business days.
  • Airport pickup: Please provide arrival/ return flight schedules at the time of booking or at least 3 business days prior departure; otherwise, you are required to proceed to the hotel at your own expense.
  • Language: All tours are escorted by professional bi- or multi-lingual tour and/or driver guides (English/Chinese).

Confirmation

  • Immediately after submitting your reservation you will receive a receipt of booking by email.

Redemption

  • Complete Operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print the e-tickets and take them along on your trip; they are your proof of purchase.

Terms & Condition

  • Booking changes
    A fee may be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. Name changes or corrections may be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. A change of tour date or tour itinerary may be treated as a cancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply.
  • Cancellations and Cancellation Fees
    Regardless of reason, cancellations result in costly charges from our travel and hotel providers covering penalties and fees incurred by canceling confirmed and pending bookings. Therefore, cancellation penalties and or fees will apply. Time of cancellation will be determined when notice is received and confirmed by our office. Notice of cancellation must be made directly to Taketours by email or through web mail at Contact Us .
  • Cancellation penalties per person (Notification day and departure day are not counted)
    7 or more days prior to departure - $75/person
    4-6 days prior to departure - $150/person
    Within 3 days prior to departure - 100% of total purchase amount.
    Day of departure or no show - 100% per person.
    Unused features are non-refundable. No shows forfeit entire payment.
    Trips require a minimum number of participants to avoid cancellation. We reserve the right to cancel a schedule trip to fully refund affected customers although tour companies will make every efforts to maintain the normal operation.
    The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
    NOTE: We cannot grant any refunds more than 30 days after completion of tour.
  • Itinerary Variations
    We constantly strives to improve tour itineraries and features. If such improvements can be made, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make changes necessary - we reserve the right to vary itineraries and to substitute hotels. At certain peak periods duplicate departures may operate, and sometimes in reverse order in which case hotels may vary from those stated on the itinerary pages.
  • Tour Cancellation:
    We reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule any tour departure in accordance with operating requirements or circumstances beyond its control. If cancellation is made any time prior to departure* of the tour, Taketours' only liability will be to refund to the passenger the amount it has received for the tour booking. We will try to re-book the same or similar tour.. Please note that we are not liable for any cancellation penalties incurred on any other travel arrangements including air tickets purchased separately from customers.
    We are not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to our cancellations.
