Company History

TakeTours.com was officially launched in 2011 as a spin-off from GotoBus.com. It was released as a dedicated website for a variety of tour services from 1-day city tours and attraction tickets, to multi-day guided bus tours including transportation, sightseeing, and hotel accommodation. In its early years, TakeTours significantly expanded its geographical reach by adding vacation packages in different countries and covering over 2,000 destinations. It also expanded its product selection to include hotels and show tickets.

  1. 2016

    • July: TakeTours revamps website with new responsive design
    • April: TakeTours mobile website improves design and user experience
    • February: Hotels are available on mobile websites and apps

  2. 2015

    • September: Industry leading tool to build customized private tours is released

  3. 2014

    • October: TakeTours mobile app is released on the App Store and Google Play
    • July: First Europe office opens in Bratislava, Slovakia
    • April: Major revamp on tour search results improves user experience
    • January: TakeTours.com releases customized mobile website
    • January: TakeTours, Inc. was formed to operate the taketours.com website
