In addition to over 40 gorgeous beaches, "Floripa" - the city's nickname - has a ton of other attractions. On our tour, you will see the historical center, where the little yellow and charming metropolitan cathedral is located.
In the most important square of the city, we'll get acquainted with Praca Novembro XV (15th of November Square, named after the date in which the republic was proclaimed) where stands the imposing Palace Cruz e Souza, which now houses the historical museum of Santa Catarina.
The Palace is important in many ways, having staged many important moments in Brazilian history throughout different points in time. Having hosted both Brazilian emperors during their visits to the city. Having been stormed by revolutionaries during the federalist revolution in 1891 and in a protest against military dictatorship in 79. It seems this palace has seen its share of history.
One other historical and visually striking location is the Ponte Hercilio Luz, named after the Governor of Santa Catarina who conceived the bridge to be the first connection between the island and the continent. which unfortunately he never saw finished, as he passed away before the bridge was completed. The bridge is now closed for traffic and it is a national cultural heritage.
But obviously, on a city like Floripa, the beaches and lagoons are still a must see. One of our other stops is one of the most famous natural landmarks in the city, the Lagoa da Conceicao.
The neighborhood houses not only a lagoon, but also a few constructions dating back to when the city was colonized and settled.
Nowadays the lagoon is used by locals and visitors alike for watersports, picnics, and for swimming. Its warm and calm waters are ideal for families to relax and keep an eye on the children.
Some say that Balneario Camboriu is a miniature of the Wonderful City of Rio. Full of beaches and lush green hills, has its own statue of the Christ and a network of cable cars the might remind you of the Cable Cars on Sugar Loaf Mountain. In addition to the beaches which make Balneario de Camboriu one of the most visited cities in the country, the main attraction is the Unipraias Park.
The natural park connects through a network of cable cars the Laranjeiras beach with the Barra Sul beach, through the Mata atlantica station at the top of the Aguada hill where you get great views from the city and do thrilling activities such as the Youhooo! - A mountain sled running at up to 60Km/hour that will leave your heart racing fast. But if you like to take things a little slower, you can just use the breaks you have at your service.
Another heart racing activity is the ZipRider! Where you decent for almost a kilometer down at over 240 meters high. You'll be speeding, but don't worry! Our safe system will allow for a smooth landing. 4 chairs go down, side by side, for you to enjoy this ride with friends or family.
The Unipraias parque is the ideal place to catch the best views from the city, get around Balneario and enjoy thrilling experiences at the top of Aguada Hill.
Visit the charming little city of Blumenau. As you walk these streets, you will be taken to Europe as this German colonized city, carved in the south of Brazil, is very true to the culture of the country where its founding fathers were born.
Everything down to every detail is German, except for the language, which is still Portuguese, but many people do speak German. The gastronomy is Bavarian, the architecture is Tudor, the majority of the locals are blonde with blue eyes, and even the traditional lederhosen is used in local festivities.
While you are in Blumenau you'll be able to let all that culture sink in while you observe the gorgeous German buildings in town. You'll be allowed some time to buy local handmade goods.
Start time:The specific departure time for this tour will be determined upon reconfirmation.
