The Fora Coral Reef is considered as one of the biggest coral platforms of Brazilian coast.

Departure in the morning to Caraiva, 110 km from Porto Seguro, with 44 km of dirt road, arrival in Nova Caraiva, a small town on the other side of the river, the journey to Caraiva we cross the river in canoes. On the other side, the only transportation available to get around are wagons. Caraiva is a small village with about 600 residents. There are only a few sand streets, in about 20 minutes we can get around the whole village.
The view of the colorful houses, the river and the access to the sea, are beautiful landscapes that are delightful to appreciate and discover the charms of the place.

There you will meet an Indian reservation (Pataxo), where you will have contact with their culture and a varied craft market, where you will stop for tour and shopping.
In Coroa Vermelha (Red Crown - takes its name from the fact of having a large reef of orange coral) there is a stop for swimming, and then you will have lunch (not included) in a tent on the edge of one of the most beautiful and calm beaches.

We will sail for approximately 50 minutes to the best diving spots in the region, which will allow you to enjoy a breathtaking view of beautiful coral reefs and marine life.
The dives are shallow, ranging from 6 to 14 meters deep, with a duration of up to 30 minutes immersed in the water.
During the outing, we will serve mineral water. For those who do not want or cannot do scuba diving, there is snorkeling (floating with a mask and snorkel, without the use of scuba diving equipment) or simply a boat ride.

For the first stop, we will head towards the village located atop a hill, from where you can observe a scenery of beaches, cliffs, river mouths, and coconut groves, 68 kilometers from Porto Seguro.
The village has the typical urban layout of the Jesuits. We have the church of Sao Joao Batista at one end and small houses built in a straight line, low and close together, forming a large square: the Quadrado, a historically valuable site within the Discovery Coast.
Then, we will spend time at Coqueiros Beach. We'll be heading back to the meeting point where we started. It'll take us about two hours to get back, so relax and enjoy the ride!
