Itinerary
Guests for this tour will meet at the Milan Cathedral, called the Duomo, one of the largest and most famous cathedrals in the world. We will be able to skip the lines to get inside this highly popular destination. Our licensed, English-speaking tour guide will teach us about the cathedral's interesting little quirks and curiosities, like the sundial trail, a meridian line that runs through the church's center; the Ritual of the Holy Nail; and the story of the Apostle St. Bartholomew, who was skinned alive. After exploring the ground level interior of the cathedral, we will take an elevator up to the exterior terraces (however, we will not be able to skip the line). After just 50 steps, we will feel like we have Milan at our feet. We will have time to take memorable pictures of the spires, the shining skyscrapers, and the iconic medieval towers. We will be able to closely examine the incredible sculptures placed around the cathedral, which depict saints, mysterious animals, monsters, and other peculiar subjects. After we have explored the Duomo, we will end the tour by enjoying sweet Italian gelato (only from April to October) and a surprise ritual to top things off.

- This tour is not recommended for pregnant women and is not wheelchair accessible.
- The Duomo has a very strict, but very simple dress code: shoulders, abdomen, and knees must be covered. It is also not possible to wear hats within the basilica. Please note that the staff of the Duomo will have the right to decline accepting visitors due to dress code explicated above without any obligation to refund you for your tickets.
- Comfortable footwear highly recommended.
- The tour operates rain or shine, but in the case of heavy rain or snow, the Duomo institution might close the terrace. If the weather does not clear, please note that the tour operator is not required to issue a refund or discount. In case of heavy rain, you will be given the option of an alternative date, subject to availability.
- Please note that there is no skip the line available for the elevator rides.
Policies
All purchases are subject to re-confirmation within 1 business days after booking. Please do not book the airline tickets until you received the confirmation.
Complete operator information, including local telephone numbers at your destination, are included on your e-ticket. You must print and bring e-ticket(s) on your trip, as they serve as proof of purchase.
Cancellation Policy: The payment is fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled 8 business days or more prior to the scheduled tour. Cancellations received within 4-7 days of departure will incur a penalty of 30% of total purchase amount. The payment will not be refunded for any other reason (i.e. weather, change of travel plans, illness, missed train, etc.) within 3 business days of the scheduled tour. The refund amount will be credited directly to your TakeTours wallet as credits for future use. Or the refund can also be forwarded directly to your credit card with a 6% handling fee.
Rain Policy: The tour operates rain or shine. In case of heavy rain, the bike tour may proceed as a walking tour instead. Guest options on rainy days:
Proceed with the tour hoping for clearing weather - with the understanding that no refund or discount will be given if Segways are not ridden due to rain, or if the Segway tour is abbreviated due to rain.
50% refund for client cancellation
Rain check to be used the following day or at any other time, subject to availability. The Rain check is a voucher given to the client. The voucher is transferable and may be sold or given to others to use at a future date and lasts up to 1 year from date.
There is 6% handling fee add-on to the above penalties.
