My husband and I just came back from this 4 day tour. We enjoyed the trip. Our tour guide was KEN FUNG. He is very knowledgeable and has very good personality. Very accommodating to us in the group. I like how he starts our day with what we are expected to do. This is our third tour with Take Tours and Ken is so far the best guide we had. He carries himself very well.
Trip was well organized and our tour guide James was very helpful and did a great job in explaining in detail about all the tourist attractions and gave us ample time at each of the attractions. Also included ample restroom breaks. Would highly recommend him for this 4 day tennesse tour
It was a wonderful experience. Extremely happy about tour-guide jake yang & driver Dav.I enjoyed the Rock City Gardens and Lookout Mountains. Gatlinburg is a nice little town and the Dixie Stampede is a must see attraction. The Incline Railway wasn't that interesting .

This was a great trip and I definitely recommend it! Our tour guide Ken Fung did an amazing job. He's very detailed in explaining all the attractions to us. Fun and jovial at the same time so you will not feel bored at all throughout the 4 days trip. Our driver Tommy is very professional as well. Excellent trip I would say!
My friend and I did this tour on June 04 and it was thoroughly an enjoyable tour. Had lots of fun travelling and the itinerary though had around 2000 miles touching 10 states did not at all felt hectic. There was a break every 2 hours while travelling and it was just appropriate. All the places visited were unique and sort of must watch. SUNNY our tour guide and driver ALEX was very very friendly and approachable and kept the whole tour at ease explaining all the details. They got us to all locations with adequate facilities and food options. I totally recommend this tour for a get away from the city life. Thx Sunny and Alex. Thx TakeTours.
Last week i took this tour and it was very good. Who loves nature and it is worth to take this tour. Our tour guide (Ken Fung) was very friendly and explain in detail about each attraction. Accommodation also good and Transportation was very good.
Nice journey and nice attractions.
I Highly recommend this tour to others.
We took the 4day Tennessee trip, from NJ, during Memorial Day weekend. Our tour guide was Kenny and Kenny was an awesome tour guide! We had fun visiting the caverns in Luray, Virginia and the Ruby Falls in Tennessee. The Smokey Mountains were smoking. My first time visiting the South. We had several visits to buffets, and I could go without that. I enjoyed the Rock City Gardens and Lookout Mountains. Gatlinburg is a nice little town and the Dixie Stampede is a must see attraction. The Incline Railway wasn't that interesting. It was supposed to be a rainy weekend and we got lucky and avoided some of the rain. Overall the trip was well worth it. A definite must see.
Sunny is excellent and accommodating to my family's needs. He is very knowledgeable with historical facts and entertaining. The tour is well organized. This is my fourth tour and I will definitely book more in the future. The driver Alex is an experienced one and we were all comfortable during the long trip
I just returned from 4 days tennesse tours. Our tour guide ken fung and norman our bus driver were very cool and excellent, very well organized, the passengers were also on time. All the attractions were amazing especially ( Luray cavern, ruby falls, rock city), the dixie show was fun. Would definitely recommend this tour.
4 days tour with JAKE YANG was never a boring trip a great tour guide!. Detail in educating us the point of interest. Learned a lot of things he even did a few contest and at the end we even did a KARAOKE that a lot of passenger volunteer! Great job JAKE YANG!Your Philippine Group
The tour guide Jake and the driver Mr. High were a wonderful company. Had a lot of places to visit especially on the first two days. The stay on the second night at a Howard Johnson inn was pretty ordinary. Other than that, it was an awesome trip.
Just returned from this 4 days tour. Our tour leader Sunny did a wonderful job of guiding and entertaining us all the way. You get to meet people who become like your family. The sights were spectacular of course especially Luray Cavern and Great Smoky Mountains. We had enough time to enjoy each site and never felt rushed. Big thumbs up and thanks to our motorcoach operator Raymond for keeping us safe. It was a memorable trip.
Just completed 4-days tour of Tennessee with tour guide Sunny. It was enjoyable experience, I loved all places we visited, itinerary was well organised and followed. Sunny is excellent guide and knows his craft, he kept us entertained through the journey, gave clear narrations of sites we visited, kept us informed of time tables and services. Highly recommend this tour for those who love nature!
I thoroughly enjoy this tour. All the places are beautiful.
Our tour guide Jake Yang was very helpful. He took care of each and every person. He describe the places very well. If you love nature, this is definitely recommend tour for you.
We had Ken as our tour guide and he was incredible - took great care to make sure everyone was happy, ket us know lots of interesting facts about the areas we visited and even did a fun quiz at the end. Thanks so much for a great trip - smoky mountains were beautiful!
Just recently toured the northern/southern states using this itineraries and I have to say that it was a blasts! Itineraries are well planned, our tour guide SUNNY SHEN knows his craft. He is very knowledgeable, caters to all your our needs instantly, addresses any concerns and questions. I felt comfortable being him as our tour guide.Gives us well descriptions of the attractions, what to expect and his honest opinions about the itineraries. He always checks on his guests if we are doing fine. He's just very kind, patient and caring. Awesome job for this guy!!! My only recommendation is that the buses should have wi-fi for our entertainment while going miles the road. Overall I will still book using this site. You guys rock! ty :)
Loved my tour. Vicky, our guide, was very kind and thoughtful. Our trip was during the Chinese moon festival, and she surprised us us with some delicious moon cake!
The trip is geared towards nature lovers, which was a perfect fit for me. The sights are just wonderful to look at, and you will not regret it.
It is just fantastic the guide named "sunny Shen" and the driver Keny were great.
very understanding and very friendly and professional.
being a guide is vocation for Sunny Shen. I would say he was born to be a specialist guide. I would strongly recommend him for you guys. Take it for granted, you will be all amazed at his skills
We just came from 4 day Tennessee Tour. The tour guide Ken was very friendly and helpful; he tired his best to keep each person comfortable and happy. He always provided info before we arrive to the attraction location. Mr. Anderson is a great driver to keep all of us safe and worry free. All the places visited were amazing; we had a lot of fun. We had more than 1800 miles and 10 states in 4 days. I am thinking this tour should be 5 days instead of 4 to make it easy and more fun before tiredness level reaches out to exhausting, but it’s worth it! I definitely recommend this tour to who is not expecting luxury food and hotel!
Recommended, If you are the one who love nature, this tour is for you, the views are just fantastic, the hotels are ok, we used them only to sleep, our guide Sunny was really great, very nice, funny, know his job very well, enthusiastic, has a lot of patience, great job Sunny.
1800 miles in 4 days....wow...!
What an experience to explore nature of Virginia and Tennessee ...! Great itinerary...!
Special thanks and additional stars to Max for your support to help us to reach Jersey city from corning.
We did this tour on May 26 and it was thoroughly an enjoyable tour. Had lots of fun travelling and the itinerary though had around 1800 miles touching 10 states did not at all felt hectic. There was a break every 2 hours while travelling and it was just appropriate. All the places visited were unique and sort of must watch. Sunny our tour guide was very very friendly and approachable and kept the whole tour at ease explaining all the details. He got us to all locations with adequate facilities and food options. I totally recommend this tour for a get away from the city life.
It is a very unique tour in that it also gives us a taste of the culture of the region and not just goes around showing different places. I am of course referring to the Dixie Stampede show. It was very colourful and a wonderful dose of local entertainment. The tour guide Kenny was very helpful. In terms of the places themselves, Rocky City and Ruby Falls stood out. Nature outshines anything man can build. Great Smoky Mountains was a bit of a letdown for me. That is because of the season I went though and seriously, we need to stop polluting nature. The effects of air pollution on the forest region was very clearly visible even to the naked eye.Saw a bear luckily though! Hope the mountainous region stays in good shape as it is said to be a highly bio-diverse spot. One thing that they could be improve about the trip is the itinerary. They could make it five days instead of four. The itinerary is a little tough in terms of time spent on travelling but of course the distance to cover is huge.
Taken on the whole, a wonderful trip to cherish.
We had a great time on this 4 day trip to Tennessee. Our tour guide was Sunny Chen. He is an awesome guide. Our bus driver was incredible. 4 days, 1800 miles, 7 states. Wooohoooo !!
Our hotels were clean & had free continental breakfast, a must for families. Sunny made sure there were adequate food options for everybody when we stopped for lunch and dinner. We had reasonable time for each attraction & did not feel too rushed. 57 tourists, so it's natural to expect for everyone to be on time & they were. Sunny played country music in the bus when we were driving thru the country side. So nice of him. He has a lot of patience & spoke in both chinese & english fluently. He was more like a buddy to us. Even volunteered to take our pictures.
He conducted quiz in the bus & kept us engaged thru out the trip. Everything was on time like clockwork. We had the best seats @ Dixie Stampede again thanks to Sunny. He clearly explained all the things we needed to know. I highly recommend this trip & look forward to many more.
My tour to Tennessee was great!Sunny did a great job by getting everyone on the bus on time, taking us to good restaurants to have our lunch and give us enough time to enjoy the places we visited. In this tour, we had several attractions and they were all great. I would recommended to anyone.
Just returned back from the 4 day Tennessee tour. It was indeed a fun tour with lot of travel. The main attractions were Dixie Stampede, Ruby Falls and Luray Caverns. Our guide Sunny was friendly and had good knowledge of places we were visiting and a special mention for the location at the Dixie Stampede. Not to forget our Bus Driver George who patiently drove bus for 1800 miles in these 4 days. Waiting for the next tour with the company.
My husband and I just got home from this tour. We enjoyed all the activities especially Ruby Falls and Rock City. The foliage atmosphere made it even better. Our tour guide, Sunny, is very friendly and very attentive to everyone's need in the tour and explained every detail of the activity of the day. Our driver, Justo, was so nice and friendly also. We felt safe with his driving. We appreciate the comfortable accommodations and the complimentary breakfast. Everyone in our tour group was so nice and very much on time on our daily activities.... We are looking forward for our next trip with the company...thank you.
I took this tour on the weekend of Labor Day. Our journey started on September 4th and on the first day we reached Luray Caverns around 5PM. Luray Caverns was amazing. We spent around 1 hour 30 minutes there and then proceed further to reach our first night's stay in Quality Inn. The second day, we reached Smokey Mountain and spent around 3 hours 30 minutes there. I didn't take Dixie Stampede and enjoyed the buffet to some other outlet nearby. On the third day, we visited Ruby Falls, Rock City, and Incline Railway. There were waiting for more than 2 hours at Incline Railway but our guide didn't change his mind and let us do the round trip. All their attractions are must. Structures in Ruby Falls and Rock City are captivating. The last day, we visited Natural Bridge but I must say that it is overpriced. On all three days breakfast provided by the hotels were good. Overall this was a great trip and I recommend this trip.
We did this tour from Flushing on May 28 2015. The tour was well organized. We enjoyed it. However, there were a few problems. The bus was very dirty!! It had a toilet but we were advised not to use it because it was out of order!!! The bus was old and not as comfortable as indicated. On the second night we slept in a substandard hotel (Super 8).The accommodation on the other two nights was good.Language is a major problem for non Chinese speaking travelers!!!! Even if the guide translated the information it was very difficult to follow, and she was unable to give any additional information when asked in English. I will not recommend this tour for non Chinese speaking travelers!!
After 4 enjoyable trips with TakeTours, we decided to go in for a 4 day trip to Tennessee. The travel guide generally calls in a day prior to the trip to confirm. However, in this case of this trip, that didn't happen. I had to call up customer service, get the guide's number and then left him a message. The guide didn't return any call in the morning. Called up the guide the next morning but he gave me a reason saying that my number was incorrect. Disregarding it, I requested for a change in pick up location which was attended to. Coming to the trip and the itinerary - the second itinerary was followed and not the one we looked at while booking. But that is okay. In the bus, we found ourselves in the midst of mostly non English speaking Chinese travelers. The guide - Alex - made us feel comfortable as he made sure he explained everything first in English. The main attractions of the trip were the Luray Caverns, Dixie Stampede (expensive but worth it)and Ruby Falls. Too little time was given at Gatlinburg Cable Car and the Incline Railway in Chattanooga. Hotel that was picked on the second night could have been better (was below expectation). The tour guide seemed to be in a hurry and running an inconsequential race to be the number 1 bus to reach everywhere. One half of the Incline railway ride was done away with after a lot of indecision (the guide changed his mind thrice whether to go for the round trip in the span of 15 minutes). While returning too, utter confusion on the route to be taken on the trip back ensued. The driver and the guide decided to transfer passengers first to a different bus and after spending 20 minutes at a service station, decided to do away with that. Suggestions - For such a long trip, TakeTours should have tie up with better hotels, budget for time at places involving considerable amount of walking, stop for lunch at places having wider variety of food rather than Chinese eateries. However, all said and done, we enjoyed the trip and would recommend anyone taking this trip.
