Dotonbori
Dotonbori is one of the most prosperous business districts in Osaka and a landmark food stronghold. Almost all the specialties of Osaka are included here, including ramen noodles, octopus roast, teppanyaki, revolving sushi, puffer fish cuisine, etc. The most famous ones are "Osaka King General" and "Crab Road Music". In the night when neon lights are flashing, there is even more excitement here.
Have the morning off to explore Osaka yourself. Visit the incredibly trendy AmericaTown, wander down the Shinsaibashi Shopping District, rest in Spa World or browse the wonderful world of electronics in Den-Den Town. We’ll meet in the evening and head
over to Osaka Castle before heading over to Dotonbori’s little brother, Shinsekai, for dinner in the evening.

Osaka Castle Park
This Japanese castle is one of the country's most famous landmarks, perched high on a hill above the city of Osaka and regarded as an important cultural monument by the Japanese government.
Travel approximately 45 minutes by train to Nara and explore its park and temples. Return towards Osaka, then continue to Koyasan using trains, cable cars and a bus. Stay in a working temple and enjoy a special vegetarian dinner prepared with locally sourced ingredients by the monks.

This Japanese city has a rich history. From 710 to 794 BCE, it was the country's capital. There are many deer in the area, and it is said that if you bow to them, they will return the gesture.
Nara Park
This park in Japan is famous for its large population of over 1,200 deer, who are not afraid to interact with their human visitors. Covering over 660 hectares, it features many beautiful gardens.
Join morning chanting prayers with the monks and eat a traditional temple-style breakfast. Return to Osaka and take the bullet train to Hiroshima. After settling in, visit Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park with a local guide and continue through the museum.

The capital of Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan.As of August 2016, the city has an estimated population of 1,196,274. Hiroshima was the first city targeted by a nuclear weapon, when the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) dropped an atomic bomb on the city at 8:15 a.m. on August 6, 1945, near the end of World War II.
Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park
It is dedicated to the legacy of Hiroshima as the first city in the world to suffer a nuclear attack, and to the memories of the bomb's direct and indirect victims (of whom there may have been as many as 140,000). The Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park is visited by thousands of people each year.
Take the metro and a short ferry ride to Miyajima Island, known for forests and ancient temples. Walk around the island and visit the Great Torii gate, then enjoy free time to explore. In the evening, go out together for the final group night in Japan.
Miyajima, Japan
A town located on the island of Itsukushima in Saeki District, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan. As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 2,018 and a density of 66.40 persons per km². The total area was 30.39 km².
Itsukushima Shrine
The centuries-old Itsukushima Shrine on Miyajima is the source of both the island's fame and its name. The shrine is known worldwide for its iconic "floating" torii gate.The shrine and its torii gate are unique for being built over water, seemingly floating in the sea during high tide.
The tour finishes in Hiroshima. Take a final walk around the memorial park or a sunrise run along the river. The guide will assist with onward travel arrangements, whether continuing through Japan or returning home.

- What is the age range of the tour? The tour has an age range of 18 - 45 years old. Most guests are aged between 21-35.
- Where should I fly into? You can fly into Narita International Airport (NRT) or Haneda International Airport (HND). Airport pick up is not included. Detailed directions to the first hostel are provided in the welcome pack. The first night is at Sakura Hotel Nippori in Tokyo.
- Do we need to purchase a Japan Rail Pass? The Japan Rail Pass is not included and you don’t need to purchase one as all transport is handled for you.
- Can I bring a suitcase? We recommend bringing no more than 15kg and a backpack if possible. Luggage over 160cm on Shinkansen requires advance reservation; bags over 251cm cannot be accommodated.
- What fitness level is required? This tour requires a reasonable level of fitness due to walking, sometimes 8-10km per day.
- Do many people extend the trip? Yes, many guests extend to Hiroshima on their own. Note that the 14 Day Tour must be booked in advance.
- Health Note - Owakudani If you have asthma or respiratory condition, the brief visit to Owakudani is not advisable; please speak to your guide for an alternative.
