African Dinner and Drumming Experience - W. Cape - Cape Town - Garden Route

Go on a taste sensation with traditional delicacies that will transport you all over the continent of Africa – this is an evening of decadent feasting and fantastic, traditional entertainment to be enjoyed by all!

The evening starts off with a praise singer who welcomes you to Gold and introduces you to the singers, dancers, puppets and musicians, followed by an interactive djembe drumming session and a traditional soothing hand-washing ceremony. A professional djembe drum instructor will teach you how to play the basic rhythms of the djembe drum. You will be able to experience the vibrant dancing and celebrations of Africa, as well as live entertainment during dinner which includes a Mali puppet show where there is story telling with singers, dancers, puppets and musicians. The final performance is by the waiters and kitchen staff who will entertain you with some local song and dances, in honor of the royal African queens.

As you sit and enjoy the one-of-a-kind African experience, you will be able to appreciate the unique African décor of Gold restaurant, showcasing stunning African artifacts and contemporary artwork.
