We are located inside the Appia Antica Caffè, the ideal point from which to discover the Appian Way by bicycle, as the road becomes closed to traffic immediately after the Bike Point.
As soon as you pick up your bike—whether a comfortable e‑bike or a traditional pedal bike—you instantly realize that you are in the perfect place to begin exploring one of the most ancient and fascinating roads in the world: the Appian Way. The Bike Point stands right next to the entrance of the traffic‑free section of the road, offering the ideal starting point for a peaceful ride immersed in the beauty and history of the Appia Antica.
Riding along the Appian Way is an experience that goes far beyond the simple act of cycling. It becomes a true journey through time. The very surface of the road, made of large volcanic basalt stones, still bears the marks left by centuries of travelers—carts, Roman legions, merchants, and pilgrims. The sound of your wheels rolling over the ancient stones, the scent of the Roman countryside, and the surreal quietness surrounding the landscape all blend together to create an atmosphere suspended between past and present.
