The adventure begins in 4WD vehicles along the emblematic Route 40, heading to the majestic Santa Cruz River. Once there, after a brief technical talk and equipped with state-of-the-art dry suits, we set out to paddle in the calm waters that once inspired Darwin.

Discover the magic of nature as you navigate the river. You will be surprised by impressive geological formations and a rich Patagonian fauna, immersing you in a landscape that seems to come from another time.

After paddling 15 km down the river, we will arrive at the cozy Estancia Río Bote, where a delicious lunch awaits you on the banks of the river, the perfect place to relax and share stories before returning to El Calafate.

The experience begins with pickup in El Calafate and a 4WD journey along the iconic Route 40 toward the Santa Cruz River. Upon arrival, your guide will provide a technical briefing and help you gear up with high-quality dry suits before starting the 15-km kayak descent through the calm waters once explored by Charles Darwin. As you paddle, you’ll admire striking geological formations, sweeping Patagonian landscapes, and the region’s characteristic wildlife. The adventure concludes at Estancia Río Bote, where a delicious riverside lunch awaits before returning by 4WD to El Calafate.
