Suzhou is located near the east shore of lake Taihu where the Grand Canal joins the Yangtze River. It is surrounded by more than 20 lakes and is called “Venice of China”. It was once the capital of the State of Wu during the late Autumn & Spring Period more than 2500 years ago.
Suzhou is a place of great beauty. It has been known since ancient times together with Hangzhou as “the paradise on the earth”.
Within this trip, you will be leaded to the Tiger Hill, the landmark pogoda; the Humble Administrators Garden, a representation of Jiangnan classical garden; Silk factorywhere to see the silk made from silkworm; Hanshan Temple, one of the top ten famous temples in China; and the Old City Gate with a history of 2400 years.
