Discover Tinos Island - Mykonos

Meet at the new port of Mykonos (Tourlos), where you will meet our correspondent and have a small briefing. You will reach Tinos island by a short 30-minute ferry ride. At the port of Tinos, your guide and bus will be waiting for you.

Tinos Island is the gorgeous neighbour of Mykonos, being three times bigger, has a lot to offer:

- Tinos town and the most famous and important church of Greece, the Evangellistria, with its miraculous icon and magic atmosphere
- The women's monastery Kechrovouni, high up in the mountains, is inhabited by 40 nuns
- The traditional village Volax, home to the basket makers
- The valley of the pigeon houses from the Venetian time
- Pyrgos, the centre of the marble arts
- Continuously changing scenery of landscapes, traditional villages and views over the Agean Sea and surrounding islands.

Please note that there are strict clothing rules for the visit to the church and monastery: sleeveless shirts and shorts are not permitted. Men must wear long trousers and women must wear skirts or trousers that go below the knee.

Back in Tinos town, you have free time for shopping and relaxing at the harbour front before we make our way back to Mykonos by ferry.
