Combine your visit to the Botanical Park with the fun of Cretan cooking!

Join us for a nice presentation about the park and a workshop to prepare a local dish with fresh products. Then you will enjoy your stroll in the park surrounded by the colours, aromas, tranquillity and green landscape with local flora and fauna from all over the world. Afterwards, you are invited to taste your self-made Cretan dish at the taverna!

The Botanical Park is a great area of impressive natural beauty, nearly 20 hectares on a beautiful well-designed planted hillside at the foot of the White Mountains. The Botanical Park’s history starts in 2003 after a huge destructive fire burnt down the entire area. Four brothers with love and passion for their patrimonial village and fields turned this disaster into a constructive plan to fulfil their dream: to treasure, share and educate about the gifts of Cretan nature.

Walking around you will come across hundreds of different fruit trees, herbs and ornamental plants. The walk may vary from 1 to 2 hours to follow the paths on the great hillside to experience this unique setting.

After your walk, you can enjoy a delicious typical Greek lunch with ingredients (of fresh vegetables and herbs) originating from their own gardens!

-Presentation about the park and its history

-Cooking class

-Entrance to the park for a stroll approx.1,5 hours

-Taste your own traditional dish. Kali Orexi!

-Around 14:00 you will be back at your hotel.
