Your visit starts with the discovery of the Medici district, where you can admire the monuments that the members of the famous Florentine family themselves admired every day with their own eyes: the amazing palace where they lived, the ancient San Lorenzo Church and the Medici Chapels, their mausoleum.

A few steps away you will find the marvelous Duomo monumental Complex: the Baptistery with its golden “Porta del Paradiso”, the Cathedral with the famous Brunelleschi Dome and the elegant Giotto bell tower.

The tour then goes through the characteristic streets of the medieval district where Dante and Beatrice lived and where you can also admire the imposing and unique Church of Orsanmichele, a masterpiece of Florentine Gothic art, adorned with the statues of the patron saints of the powerful medieval trading guilds. You will also discover the picturesque Straw Market: don’t forget to rub the nose of the famous “porcellino” (pig).

Going on you will find yourself in Piazza Signoria, one of the most beautiful squares in the world and political center of the city. In this “open-air museum”, you will be fascinated by the beautiful Fountain of Neptune with the imposing marble statue of Ammannati and by the sculptural masterpieces of the Loggia dei Lanzi, including the Perseus by Cellini and the Rape of the Sabines by Giambologna. Dominating the square is the majestic Palazzo Vecchiowith Arnolfo's crenellated tower, one of the most famous symbols of Florence that you can admire in all its magnificence.

Then, by following from the outside the spectacular elevated path of the Vasari Corridor you will arrive at the romantic and picturesque Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, and you will end this amazing walking tour admiring its renowned jewellery shops!

You'll then have some free time to enjoy your lunch or lunch in a typical restaurant in the old town, if you've chosen the ''Tour with lunch'' option.

In the afternoon, we will visit Uffizi Gallery.You can admire numerous works of art by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, Cimabue, Masaccio and many others. Among the precious exhibition halls of the Gallery, the most renowned one contains the refined works by Botticelli, amongst which the absolute masterpieces: "Primavera" and "Birth of Venus". The latter painting, the icon of the museum, represents the allegory of the birth of the goddess emerging from the sea foam and symbolizes the ideal of beauty as an expression of purity and spiritual quality, typical of the Renaissance Neoplatonic aesthetics. The guided tour ends at the Uffizi Terrace where you can enjoy an amazing and exclusive view of the city’s most important monuments.
