Overview
Full description
Discover Gaudi’s works from the outside of his most emblematic buildings and complete the experience with an authentic Catalan cooking class. This tour combines architecture, history and gastronomy in a dynamic and hands-on format, ideal for travellers looking for an interactive and different way to experience Barcelona.
The tour starts in front of Casa Batlló, where the local guide will welcome the group and introduce the historical and artistic context of Catalan Modernism and the figure of Antoni Gaudí.
From here, the walking route continues along Passeig de Gràcia, admiring the exterior of La Pedrera, one of Gaudí’s most distinctive residential buildings. The guide will explain the key characteristics of Modernist architecture, architectural details and Gaudí’s impact on Barcelona’s urban development.
The route then continues to Casa Vicens, Gaudí’s first major work, where his early style and the evolution of his architectural language will be discussed.
Once the walking tour is completed, the group heads to Kampada Cooking, a modern gastronomic showroom. Here, the culinary experience begins.
Guided by a professional chef, participants will learn how to prepare their own paella, as well as mussels in marinera sauce, cuttlefish with garlic and parsley, the traditional pa amb tomàquet and homemade sangria, with explanations of ingredients, techniques and culinary traditions
The activity concludes with the tasting of the dishes prepared by the group, closing an experience that perfectly combines culture, architecture and local gastronomy.
