The journey begins at Hiroshima train station, where you’ll set off for the scenic island of Miyajima, famed for its stunning vistas and the legendary floating torii gate.Upon arriving, explore the historic Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site dating back to the 6th century. A short walk from the ferry terminal leads you to the awe-inspiring torii gate, which seems to float serenely on the water during high tide—an ideal backdrop for memorable photos. As you wander, enjoy the tranquil temples and lush surroundings, especially captivating during cherry blossom season.
After savoring Miyajima’s charm, a picturesque ferry ride takes you back to the mainland, where you’ll enjoy views of the torii gate, the coastline, and the distant cityscape framed by mountains. The journey continues to Hiroshima, where you’ll visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, a poignant site commemorating the victims of the 1945 atomic bombing. The departure time indicated is estimated and corresponds to the scheduled departure time of your train ride to Hiroshima. The exact departure time will be confirmed the day before the tour date, when we will send you your digital tickets.
In your booking confirmation, you will also find detailed instructions for taking the bullet train from Kyoto Station to Hiroshima. Please note that this part of the tour is without a guide.
Once you arrive in Hiroshima, your guide will be waiting for you outside the station at the Shinkansenguchi Hiroba Bus Berth. He will be wearing an Amigo Tours sign so that you can recognize him.
We recommend that you arrive at Kyoto Station in plenty of time to catch the train smoothly and start your experience in the best possible way.
