As you wait at your hotel lobby for the tour to begin, little will you imagine the marvellous corners that you are about to encounter. Hop onto our comfortable vehicle and head off to the beating heart of Salvador.
Your day begins at the Barra Lighthouse; an ancient white construction, it is the most iconic building of the coastal neighbourhood of Barra. After meandering around that beautiful area, continue en route to the Historical Centre, otherwise known as Pelourinho. Along the way, pass by a variety of magnificent buildings, such as the Castro Alves Theatre, the age-old Sao Pedro Fort and the famous Castro Alves Square.
As you arrive in Salvador’s magical historical centre, delve into the many stories that hide behind every street. Alongside your charismatic guide, you will learn all about the history of the neighbourhood and even get in on the local know-how. This district is filled with more than a thousand homes, churches and monuments that stand since as far back as the 16th century. At the end of the day, you can go to sleep with the satisfaction of having set eyes upon the greatest collection of Baroque architectural heritage in Latin America.
