Full description
After the Glodok Tragedy in 1740, the government gathered Chinese people in a closed circle area which was very close to the official city hall. The area is now still existed, and the excursion will be wandering around the historic Glodok.
This area is characterized by winding lanes, slanting red tiled roofs and small dark shops and a hub of the Chinese community until we reach the Golden Wisdom Taoist temple called Jin De Yuan dating back to the 1650’s. Also visit the St. Maria the Fatima Church which sit side by side with the Chinese Temple.
The visit will include the Old City Hall area which is known now as Fatahilla Square. Enjoy your one-hour free time at the restaurant exactly at the center seeing the existing old colonial buildings.
