Morning pick-up by and drive through the picturesque landscape and along lush green rice terraces, with the option for a few photo stops along the way. You´ll reach the mountain slopes of Mount Batukaru, the second highest mountain on Bali.

Before you start the adventurous jungle trek you visit the holy Pura Luhur Batukaru to “asks” the spirits of the forest for permission to enter their realm. Equipped with walking stick, you´ll hike through the green jungle with huge ferns and old trees. Crossing small, clear rivers you always follow the local ranger, who will accompany you in addition to your personal guide. The ranger knows the jungle inside out and can explain you all details about flora and fauna of the rainforest. The chirping of a bird or the call of a monkey - he knows which animal is behind it. And he shows you also some jungle survival techniques - a truly extraordinary nature experience.

The highlight in between is the mystical jungle temple, where you stop for a picknick with freshly brewed coffee and Balinese snacks.

After this active adventure you can enjoy the scenic drive to an idyllic mountain village. You reach BALIKARU experience haven and can refresh yourself or change clothes. A 15-minute head and shoulder massage gives back all the energy you need after trekking. And if you´re still tired - sit down and enjoy a delicious lunch at Warung Balikaru including dessert.

Before you leave Balikaru you can have a glimpse into real Bali village life when visiting Balikaru farm with its small animals and Trigona honey bee area. Short walk downhill throug the village with stop at Balulang Hot Spring. On the way back to your hotel a last highlight awaits you - the beautiful Pengempu Waterfall. This waterfall is almost unknown and will impress you once again at the end of the day. You´re back at your hotel around 5pm.
