Mutianyu Great Wall and Ming Tombs (Dingling) - Beijing

We will pick you up from your hotel at 8am and take you to the Mutianyu Great Wall with a local English speaking guide and driver to enjoy the natural scenery of the surrounding which is breathtaking. Woods cover over ninety-six percent of the total scenic area. Flowers bloom all over the mountains in spring, grass dresses the hillside green in summer, trees are laden with sweet fruit in autumn, and especially in October, leaves turn red or yellow, touching the mountain tops with gold. In winter, the wall is covered by snow, making it more magnificent. The cable car is a good choice if you want to get to the highest point and take in the whole beautiful bird's-eye view.

We later drive you to a beautiful local restaurant to enjoy a great Chinese lunch near the Ming Tombs. After the lunch we move to Ming Tombs to experience the best preserved Chinese Imperial Tombs with over 500years history, precisely Dingling. Of all the 13 imperial tombs in Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644), only three are open to the public: Changling, Dingling and Zhaoling ("ling" literally means "Tomb" in Chinese). Only Dingling has been excavated. You will be taken to Dingling (also known as the Underground Palace). Dingling is not wheelchair accessible. You will first have a long walk from the entrance to Dingling before you get to the tomb itself, where you will have to go down 8 flights of stairs. The walk to the tomb can be hard and long during high season, but normally takes about 15 minutes.

Affectionately known as Bird's Nest, the National Stadium is situated in Olympic Green Village, Chaoyang District of Beijing City. This will be our next destination after the Ming Tombs. You will be given the opportunity to take photos outside this magnificent architecture.

At the end of the trip, we will drop you off back at your hotel.
