Known as pettini, these prongs symbolize the six divisions, or Sestieri, of Venice.

Crafted from iron, the “ferro” serves a dual purpose: it provides balance to the gondoliers and evokes the graceful flow of the Grand Canal’s waters, capturing in its elegant S shape the essence of Venice’s fluidity.
