Join us on a private walk along the coastline and journey through one of Kaurna’s most significant creation stories – the Tjilbruke Dreaming. Through exploring the Tjilbruke Monument and Spring Site with an Aboriginal guide, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the powerful and tragic story of Tjilbruke, an ancestor of cultural lore. Together on Country, learn how this story shaped important Kaurna fauna and landscape features, along with unpacking the significance of the lived relationship between Kaurna people, land and sea.
What to Bring
Please be prepared with suitable attire, including hat, sunscreen and umbrella (if required). Bring your own water bottle and water.
Accessibility
This tour requires a moderate level of fitness. Participants will be required to walk up approximately 100 steps, with an elevation gain of 25 metres. This experience will also involve walking through uneven natural terrains, including dirt paths and over tree/plant roots. Unfortunately, there are no accessible facilities available on site, and it is not suitable for wheelchair or mobility aid users.
