Start your day early! A scenic route across the border takes you through some picturesque villages of the rural Bosnia and Herzegovina as you approach the fantastic little city - Pocitelj. This small medieval town was built on a rocky cliff on Neretva River and it gives a great overview of the Ottoman Empire and the effect of the eastern culture on a small town in this zone.
Later on, enjoy a short ride to Mostar - a city from the past, the point of connection between the west world and the exotic eastern culture. Explore the city with a local guide and listen about all the hypnotizing historical anecdotes. You'll find yourself bedazzled at the sight of the famous Stari Most (Old Bridge) - a majestic stone arch above the Neretva River, connecting two medieval towers, giving the city a widely recognizable visual identity. Here you can testify at one of a kind spectacle performed specially for the visitors of the city - young locals showing off in their daredevil stunts; throwing themselves off the twenty meters high Old Bridge into the icy water of the Neretva River. Mind you, not anyone can perform these acrobatic tricks! There's a special crash course that you would need to pay and attend before anyone lets you jump into the river from that height. So just relax and enjoy while professionals do it the best way they can!
Cross over the bridge to check out the Ottoman quarter which has been attractively restored after the war in the nineties. Check out the old Bazar, the Mosque and then, after the walking tour, enjoy exploring the city on your own. This city will inspire you with its oriental structured streets and buildings, friendly people, good tasty food and a very distinctive coffee culture that might remind you of Turkey. So make the most of your free time here in Mostar to sit back and relax on one of the terraces, try out traditional food or explore the immense line of souvenir shops to bring back home some unique oriental-looking-like souvenirs.
The ride back to Split leads you through the rocky landscapes of Herzegovina all the way to the amazing natural wonder known as Kravica Waterfall where you can enjoy the amazing landscapes, and perhaps even jump into the refreshing waters of the river to cool down. After arriving in Split you will be dropped off at the same place where you were picked up in the morning.

Your excursion starts with pick-up at your Dubrovnik hotel at your pre-arranged time. Enjoy a less than 2-hour drive with your English-speaking driver down the scenic routes of Croatia and across the border to Bosnia and Hercegovina.
Your first stop will be at the ,,Gem of Hercegovina", the Kravice falls. The falls created by the river Trebizat provide an always relaxing and cool background for picnics and relaxing in pristine nature. Spend as much time as you wish in this beautiful place, take a swim, go for a stroll, or simply enjoy a coffee in the local cafes.
After Kravice, join your driver again for another short trip to the home of the region's most famous bridge, Mostar. Walk down the streets of Old Town and discover the hidden gems of Mostar. Your professional English-speaking driver/guide will give you all information. After, join your driver once again for a smooth drive in your air-conditioned transportation back to Dubrovnik. Along the way stop at the medieval town of Pocitelj, which rests on the side of a hill with its iconic tower overlooking the valley.
Are you looking for a different scenery and culture close to Dubrovnik? This is the ideal tour for you then, which will immerse you into an orientally western experience.
Kravice waterfalls is our first sightseeing. It's a beautiful place where you will enjoy and relax in nature. Just the view melts your heart and you will instantly fall in love. One of the top tourist attractions in Herzegovina and certainly the most beautiful one! In the summertime you may go swimming there as well, so we suggest you bring along your swimming gear. Croatia and Bosnia are both rich in well-kept and clean nature, and both countries are proud of their water supplies. Almost anywhere in Croatia you can drink water straight out of the tap, and it's the same in Bosnia as well. This waterfall of Kravice is one of many Bosnia's gems, the water is pristinely clear and cool, which makes this visit a great detour from congested and overcrowded urban areas.
Once we've explored Kravice, our driver will take us towards Mostar. There you will be greeted by a local guide and taken on a tour of Mostar's old town which looks like a postcard from the Ottoman era. Open-air bazaars, friendly locals, crystal-blue Neretva river, old bridge high-jumpers, mosques, smell of Turkish coffee in the streets are just samples of experiences from the tour. You'll have free time to experience the city on your own and have lunch. Cevapi are very popular in Croatia too and can be ordered in many restaurants, but Mostar has some of the best cevapi parlors (cevabdzinice), we suggest you try cevapi while there.
Mostaris so close toDubrovnik, but yet, it is almost a completely different world, in terms of architecture and cuisine. The historical center looks almost the same as it did in the Middle Ages, on every step of the way you can see the old Ottoman influence. Star of the entire city is its unique old bridge where daily brave men, from quite an altitude, jump into the chilly and fast river Neretva (for a tip of course).
The entire city is surrounded by tall mountains, so sometimes in May you can see the snow at the highest peaks, while it's warm and sunny below. Perhaps the best term that describes Mostar would be crossroad of civilizations - East blending in with the West. The bridge we mentioned a bit earlier is one of the most recognizable features of entire Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was built by the Ottomans and the bridge is one of their finest works they ever made in all of the Balkans. Needless to say, the vast Ottoman Empirethat ruled almost the entire Balkan is Turkey today. These disparities make Mostar very appealing to visitors and it's no wonder that daily trips to Mostar are one of the most popular day tours from Dubrovnik.
After seeing the streets of Mostar in your own pace, you will reassemble with your driver and proceed towards another picturesque site - Pocitelj village. It is a fortified little settlement on a hilltop where a mosque, a clock tower and the view over the Neretva river from there, is spectacular. Population of the place is small; at the foot of the village you have local women selling their home-grown fruits to friendly tourists. Direct translation of the village's name to English would be - to rest. Pocitelj was the place where merchants in the Middle Ages settled for a day, gave food and water to the animals and slept.
Next stop after we've spent some time in Pocitelj is Dubrovnik. You will meet your driver again and head back towards your accommodation. The scenery and the drive will be almost exactly the same.
