Your five-hour tour begins with a complimentary pickup and transfer from your hotel or the campground at Ayers Rock Resort.
Be sure to check when sunrise occurs as the start time for this tour varies throughout the year to take in the best possible sunrise viewing. After a short drive to our sunrise viewing area at Uluru you'll enjoy a magical sunrise with a light breakfast. Once the sun is up, it's time to get rolling.
After sunrise viewing you'll arrive at the Segway base area, where your tour guide will provide you with Segway training. Once you've had some time to practice on our Segway training course and are feeling comfortable you'll begin your Segway around Uluru. Cruise effortlessly on your Segway with your knowledgeable guide around the full base of Uluru. This typically takes around 2 hours, as you will stop for photos and interpretive talks about local Anangu culture, flora, fauna, geology and history of the area.
After Segway-ing the base you'll be led by your guide into the iconic Mutitjulu Waterhole to explore the sights and sounds of the waterhole and view ancient Aboriginal rock art. This short walk usually takes about 30 minutes.
Upon return back to the Segway base you'll enjoy worry - free transfers by bus back to your hotel within Ayers Rock Resort.

Be led by your guide into the famous Mutitjulu waterhole. Whilst there view ancient Aboriginal rock art and marvel at Uluru's impressive vistas. After this it's time for Segway training.
Your guide will give you a demonstration then it's time for you to practice on our training course. Once you're feeling comfortable cruise effortlessly around a quarter of Uluru's massive base. As you glide around this scenic section of Uluru your guide will stop for photos and to explain just what makes Uluru so special. After feeling the wind in your hair and breeze on your face we'll dismount and continue on foot. This time your guide will lead you along Uluru's Mala Walk.
Whilst here get up close and visit some of Uluru's many caves and learn about Uluru's nature, history and the culture of it's Traditional Owners, Anangu. As the sun drops lower, we'll set up a sunset picnic at the foot of Uluru with soft drinks and sparkling apple juice. Eventually it's time to return to the Ayers Rock Resort, your guide will take care of the driving, sit back and relax and enjoy the worry free transfer.
Internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Munro is noted for his immersive site-specific installations that employ light to evoke emotional response, often in an outdoor context and on a monumental scale.
His Field of Light, inspired by a trip to Uluru over 30 years ago, is installed in a remote desert area within sight of majestic Uluru. It is his largest installation to date, with Munro and his team installing more than 50,000 slender stems crowned with radiant frosted glass spheres. It is truly a magical sight to behold.
This morning you will be collected from your accommodation to be taken the short distance to the exclusive Field of Light location. With just enough time for some background commentary on the internationally renowned artist Bruce Munro, you will arrive very excited to see his artistic endeavour.
Arriving in complete darkness, in the quiet of pre-dawn, this once in a lifetime experience will be etched in your mind forever. Enjoy walking through the field of 50,000 globes of light at your own pace, where Desert Oaksappear from nowhere as the dawn light creeps above the horizon, then make your way up to the top of a large sand dune to the Field of Light sunrise viewing area. The field of lights site is dark, to ensure you have the most unique experience, we recommend you use your phone light or bring a small torch to help navigate your way on the pathway provided. Once at the viewing area, the AAT Kings team will be serving you tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Enjoy your drink as the sun starts to rise and lights up the surrounding desert. Watch in awe as it pops up behind Uluru, flooding the landscape with light. From the viewing area you can see both Uluru and Kata Tjuta while the desert comes to life.After sunrise you will be transported back to your hotel.
